"Kurapika, wake up." I said.
He groaned, "Why are you waking me up, it's so late?" The blonde mumbled into the covers, pulling them over his face.
"Come on Kurapika, let's go train... please" I whined
"Makota please, it's late, we need to sleep, we have a big exam tomorrow." He said.
I rolled my dark brown, almost black eyes but it was to dark in the room for him to see.
"I know we have a big test tomorrow, that's why I want to make sure that we get our training done, come on Kurapika." I whined.
He slightly moved around, flipping the covers off of his body, he sat up and looked me in the eyes.
"Fine, I'll meet you at the tree in a little bit, just give me a second." He said in a sleepy voice. I gave him a big smile.
"Yes! Thank you so much Kurapika!" I shouted as I threw my shoes on and grabbed my bag as fast as I could.
"See ya!" I yelled as I ran out the door, I ran all the way to the big tree that we normally train at together, I sat down and I waited for him. It must've been 20 minutes. Finally I just got my book out and started reading underneath the moon light.

He must've fallen back to sleep, I thought to myself. I began reading again, I swear it must've been an hour by now, I wonder what's taking him so long. Maybe he really did fall back to sleep, I got up and stretched my bones some of them popping here and there. Still reading my book, I slowly started walking back to where our clan, the Kurta clan, that was in the village hidden in the leaves was. As I got closer the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I felt a dark aura, my heart started beating faster, my breath became shallow. I was shaking as I put my book back into my bag. I didn't know what this feeling was, as I got closer to our home I noticed fire, smoke in the air, buildings were burning. I didn't know what to make of it. I ran as fast as I could to my home, and when I got there everything was completely demolished, nothing left, my whole town laid in ruins, everyone that I've known and loved, my friends, my family.

"Kurapika...." I whispered.
"Mom! Dad!" I started shouting for them.
No one. I made it to my parents room or what was left of it, they lie there lifeless I notice blood from their eyes.
"Their eyes are gone." I whispered.
My brother Kurapika, I started yelling for him, searching all over the house. I didn't find his body. I didn't know where he was, all through the town there were bodies, with no eyes, I felt like this was all a dream. I fell to my knees crying, my eyes turning to a scarlet color from my rage and sorrow. 'This is why they took their eyes isn't it',
I thought to myself. I didn't know what to do. I started running , running through the woods, I ran for so long until my legs gave out, I tripped and fell, hitting my head. The pain stung though my whole body, I felt tired, I felt lifeless, everything started going dark, before I knew it, I passed out.

Nine years have passed, I have my own apartment. It's quite small but it's good for just one person, it's more like a studio apartment. I try to help some people out here and there, but my ultimate goal is to find the people that killed my clan, to avenge them. So far from that night, I found out that they were called the phantom troupe. I heard rumors that they were bandits, our clan, the kurta clan, is pretty powerful once we have our eyes activated, almost like the Uchiha clan and their sharingan. Whenever we experience strong feelings our eyes burn a beautiful red, the most beautiful red, no wonder a team of bandit would want to take our eyes, but why did I have to be the sole survivor? Why couldn't I die that night just like everyone I've known, my whole family was dead.

The same thing happened to a guy named Sasuke Uchiha, except his brother killed his entire clan and left him alive. I couldn't imagine if my brother did that, he was only 13 when he killed his clan. My brother was 17 when he died from the phantom troupe, a year younger than I am now. I wish I could talk to my brother. I wanted to talk to Sasuke but every time I get close to him there's always a bunch of girls around him, it must be so annoying to constantly have girls crowding you and fighting over you when you show no interest in any of them. So I've just stayed to myself, I've gone to the Academy to become a ninja, which I've wanted to my whole life but now I have more of a purpose, to avenge my clan.
