Revenge of the scarlet eyes

Kakashi's decision: Bells pt.2

I started running the opposite way, but then I stopped and thought about it. He knows that we can't fight him one on one. That's why he was reading the book when Naruto was fighting him. So how are we supposed to get the bells? Then it hit me, why are we on a four-man squad? Well, technically would be three, but here I am. What if we attack him in pairs? When I thought about that I ran back towards Naruto, he was still upside down. I went over to him, I cut the rope and he fell on the ground.

"Hey! What? Why did you do that? "He asked. "Because Naruto, think about it we're on a team, right? We're comrades. You just tried to fight him one on one and it didn't work. Maybe we should try doing it together." I explained, trying to make it so he understood.
Naruto scratched his head then gave a toothy grin. "Oh yeah, that could work great."
"I'll go find Sakura and you go find Sasuke, okay? I said.
He give me a thumbs up. "We'll get the bells for sure believe it!" With that he took off and so did I.

As I was running through the woods, I heard a high pitch scream.
"Sakura." I said under my breath.
I took off in the direction of where the scream came from.
Finally, I ran up upon a passed out Sakura, well I guess it's no use now trying to team up with twos but we could do a three man group. I looked over and I saw Sasuke in the ground, his head, just poking up.

"What happened to you?" I asked.
He just looked at me with anger in his eyes.
"Just get me out willia?" He said in a monotone voice.
I began my hand signs-
"Earth release: earth flow divide!" I yelled.
And the ground beneath me divided enough for him to crawl out of. Once he got out I put Sakura on my back and we started running towards the training field. Once we got there, I explained to Sasuke what my plan was, that we needed to team up and take on the Jounin together.
With Sakura passed out we'll just lay her somewhere safe and attack Kakashi sensei together. So we went out to find Naruto since he was out looking for Sasuke.
It was taking forever to find him, then we heard a ringing sound. I looked at Sasuke.
"It's noon, we took to long looking for Naruto." I sighed.

We walked over to where the lunch and posts were and there, tied up to the post was Naruto. I looked at Sasuke confused and he was looking at me unamused. Sakura began waking up, I let her off my back just as our stomachs started growling, Kakashi walked up to us.
"Oh no, I hear stomachs growling, that's too bad." He said in a sarcastic tone with his arms crossed.
"Oh and about this exercise," he continued "I've decided, I won't be sending you back to the academy"
Naruto and Sakura started celebrating while Sasuke just smirked to himself, I was very confused by his decision.
"Yes, that mean all four of you are being dropped from the program, permanently!" Kakashi said in a very harsh tone.

My eyes widened, my lips barely separated, I didn't know what to think. How am I supposed to reach my goal if I can't become a ninja?
Naruto started yelling at Kakashi, saying he couldn't change his mind and just drop us.
"Because you don't think like ninja's." The sliver haired man replied, "you think like little kids, like brats." He continued.

Sasuke growled at his comment towards us, then he charged at the Jounin. What is he doing?
Kakashi quickly pinned him to the ground.
"You think it's all about you." he calmly said.
Sakura started yelling at him about "her" Sasuke.
"You don't know what it means to be a ninja, you think it's a game, huh?" He said cutting her off.
"Why do you think we put you on squads?" He asked.

"To be a team." I mumbled under my breath.
He quickly glanced at me, causing my breath to catch in my throat.
He looked at the other three.
"Did you ever realize what this exercise was about? Use your head, normally three people on a squad yet this year, I have four and only one of you seemed to understand the test. It's so basic, team work!" He angrily stated.
"Just working together is that what you mean?" Sakura asked.

I rolled my eyes, I mean she was passed out so I didn't get to explain the plan to her.
"That's what I mean, if you all four came at me together you might have been able to take them. Well anyways it's over, I wanted you to put the squad over yourselves, to have a natural feel for team work! Sakura you obsessed over Sasuke while Naruto was right infront of you. But you wouldn't help him, yet Makota was the one to cut him loose!"

"Naruto you do everything on your own! And you Sasuke," Kakashi sensei said placing his foot on the raven haired boys head. "You think everyone is so far beneath you, you think them worthless, arrogance. This is why missions are carried out in squads. Yes, you need individual skills but teamwork is essential!" The ninja stood up and began walking away before saying "Every mission your life is on the line."

He walked over to this huge stone and began taking about the names engraved on it. Naruto started yelling about having his name on that stone.
"Naruto, that stone is the ninja's that are all K.I.A. " I said almost a bit irritated that he wouldn't stop yelling after we just have been told that we have failed.
"Ohh that seems real cool!" Naruto said happily.
"It means killed in action, they all died." Sakura stated.
Finally Naruto got it.

Kakashi sensei decided to give us one more chance, giving us three hours to get the bells and to eat lunch now but Naruto wouldn't get any. Since he tried to eat before the rest, as a punishment.
"And if anyone tries to feed him, that person will immediately fail." Kakashi said with amusement in his voice and half lidded eyes.
"I make the rules you follow them, got it?" Kakashi sensei practically growled.

As we were all eating except for Naruto, which I felt really bad for. Eating infront of him while his stomach yelled for food.
"Here." Said a voice I was not expecting, I looked up to see Sasuke handing his food to Naruto.
Sakura worried for Sasuke because of what Kakashi sensei said about being disqualified from the academy.

"Kakashi is gone." The raven hair boy stated.
"He's right Sakura, we need to get those bells as a team. I tried to explain that earlier but you were passed out and Naruto was trying to sneak food." I plainly stated.
I placed my food infront of Naruto,
"Here, eat" I said.
"Okay, thanks." Naruto said appreciatively.
"Well, are you going to eat?" I asked.
"I, I can't!" He whined, "because I can't use my hands you have to feed me!"
"Huh!" I said in shock, "uhh um okay."

I grabbed some rice with my chopsticks and fed Naruto. At that moment a huge explosion appeared in front of us, wind and dirt flying all around us.
"YOUUUU!" Kakashi yelled, coming though the cloud of dirt.
"You broke the rules I hope you're ready for the punishment!" He said, starting to make hand signs, dark clouds started to form above us.

My eyes were wide as I grabbed for Sakura, he said we would fail this test, nothing about this!
"Any last words?" He asked as lightning struck though the clouds.
"Sensei! You said yourself! We are in this together!" I yelled.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!" Naruto agreed.
"Yeah sensei, that's why we gave him our lunch!" Sakura stated.
"The four of you are one? That's your excuse?" The Jounin said getting closer to us.
"You pass." He said with a closed eyed smile and a sweet honey voice.
"Huh?" We all said in unison.

"You pass." The masked man repeated, the dark clouds fading away to reveal the bright sun. Sakura asked how.
"You're the first team to succeed, the others did exactly what I said and fell into every trap, not thinking for themselves. In the ninja world those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those who abandon their friends are worse then scum." He said looking up towards the sky
Those words struck my heart, yes, yes I believe it.
With a thumbs up he said everyone passes and our first mission would start tomorrow!
I'm now a part of team 7, I'm a ninja now, I thought as we walked off leaving a yelling Naruto tied to the post.
