The Bentley came to a screeching halt in front of the bookshop.
The driver seat door flew open and Crowley hopped out of the vehicle and dashed to the backseat.
"Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit!" Crowley cursed as he yanked the door open and met the teary gazes of his husband and son in law.
Crowley gasped at the sight of Eden. She was deathly pale and lay slumped against Gabriel's chest. Aziraphale meanwhile, said, "We need to get her inside quickly and someone needs to keep pressure on this wound! She can't afford to lose any more blood!"
Aziraphale didn't dare let up on the pressure as Gabriel carried Eden into the shop. Crowley had opened the doors with a deft snap of his fingers.
"Where's your sewing kit Angel?"
"It's underneath Eden's desk!" Aziraphale replied as he and Gabriel carried Eden upstairs.
"Got it!" said Crowley, dashing to the desk.
"Lie her down there." Aziraphale gestured to the small bed with a shoulder. "I'll keep applying pressure."
Gabriel did as he was told but he kept Eden in his arms, still holding her close as Aziraphale kept his hands pressed tightly over the wound.
"I got the sewing kit, Angel!" Crowley declared as he dashed in the room.
Aziraphale nodded. "Very good my dearest. Did you call Bella?" Crowley nodded as he reached his husband's side.
"Yes. She'll be here as soon as she can." Aziraphale nodded. "Right. Crowley, keep pressure on the wound while I prepare to operate. I'm going to need you to assist me, my dear boy."
Crowley stepped in right when Aziraphale moved away and did as his husband asked, pressing down hard. He flinched at the feeble whimper from Eden.
"And Gabriel….." Aziraphale said as he rummaged through the sewing kit, pulling out a spool of black thread and his thinnest and his sharpest needle, "Don't stop praying. Not even for a second, we're going to need all the help we can get."
Gabriel had been afraid that Aziraphale was going to make him leave but was relieved when neither Aziraphale or Crowley told him to leave. And at his father in law's words, the Archangel buried his tear stained face in his wife's wild flame red curls and prayed.
Her life and the life of their twins, depended on it.
