"How are we supposed to get in? Do they know we snuck out? What if we get punished!" Jade ranted, it was clear she was stressed and worried instead of answering I just put my hand on her shoulder to try and calm her mind down "You shouldn't panic someone might hear you." I whispered while pointing to a lit up room she just nodded and walking away looking for a way to get it, I followed behind trying not to bump into her. We check a cellar door and it was unlocked "If we go in this way, we might just make it to our room without anyone seeing us." I said while looking around for guards, we both climb into the cellar and find a ladder "Let's go." Jade said even though I never liked ladders they were too wobbly I still climbed up right behind Jade. We make it up to a hallway it was near most of the maids rooms were and my parents room 'If they find out I snuck out I'm definitely doomed.' I thought, Jade grabbed my hand and we ran faster than ever before hoping even if we made noise we wouldn't be spotted by anyone. "Hey! Get back here!" I hear a deep voice come from down the hall 'shit.' it was one of the guards running at us with a sword in hand while we still had the hoods on covering our faces "We better run now!" I cried out, we started running away and turned a corner hiding behind a wall fortunately he ran past us like a complete idiot.

We shifted from one side on the palace to finally the other making our way to the kitchen somehow still haven't been caught since that guard chased us, we raided the fridge and took some food "Let's go to my room now, before we get caught!" Jade cheered from excitement 'I can't believe we actually got away with being out of the palace!' I told myself, I was honestly surprised but security would be around the palace way more than usual due to the fact that guard thought we were thieves I giggled at the thought and grabbed Jade's hand leading it out to the kitchen. BANG "Shit." Jade whispered I look at her like I seen a ghost, the hallways were completely quiet before due to the lack of maids and guards so that bang was definitely heard by someone "We have to go before we actually get caught this time, pick up whatever you just dropped!" I shouted, we ran out the room as we did, guards chased us "Why are they so fast?" I say panting from the running "I guess they have to be this fast." Jade replied, she didn't mean to be out of breath which shocked me, I didn't know she was athletic.

We turn a corner, unfortunately there was guards behind the corner waiting for us we try to turn around but the guards from before caught up to us. We were cornered "Stand down." I spoke up without thinking, I hoped they knew the sound of my voice "Princess? What are you doing with a hood and outdoor clothing, shouldn't you be in your room?" The captain of the guards asked "Uhm good question, I'm tired though so I'm going to go now." I stuttered, as I turn the captain gave a look to one of the guards and grabbed my wrist my head turned as soon as they touched me "Get your filthy hands off me, you disgusting creep." I spoke strongly looking into his eyes and not breaking the eye contact, he stayed quiet and let go "Goodnight, sorry for the princess." Jade spoke as I walked off. The captain nodded and she ran after me "Are you alright?" She spoke softly and held my hand "Yes, I'm fine just don't like strangers touching me." I didn't look Jade, I couldn't I was ashamed of what I just did Infront of everyone. We walk back to her room and spend most of the night chatting, giggling and eating, after it turned around one in the morning I told Jade goodnight hugging her and then going to my room quietly.
