Two Weeks Later

I wake up as the sunlight shines in my tired eyes, I had gotten a lot done within the past weeks like becoming friendly with the locals even opening up to Valentina, I got a lot better at working at the bakery and I got to learn how to hunt and fish from a guy named Mr Brench but most importantly I started getting bits of my memory back, it started a week ago I started dreaming about my childhood and a girl named Jade and of course I never told Valentina she was too busy helping me with cooking and sewing and the townfolk would help me with fighting and other things due to the fact Valentina would talk about me losing my memory. I did tell Val I remembered my name now but she still likes to call me Amelia. As I rub my eyes in thought I start to remember my dream I just had once again about a girl named Jade playing with a younger me, I hear Valentina call my name "Amelia! Get up, you were meant to meet Mr Brench to go hunting!" I completely forgot I had to meet him today "Coming!" my body lazily got out of bed and I checked the clock '6 AM I'm so tired." I make my way to the closet and pick up some denim type pants and a plain black shirt then I practically leap down the stairs "Here, I know you don't eat breakfast anymore but take an apple." Valentina looked at me worryingly "Thank you Val!" I smiled and took the apple, I opened the bakery for her "Goodbye!" I shouted across the house "Goodbye and don't forget you have a lunch shift today!" I quickly replied "Alright, I'll be home around 11!" I close the backdoor and head to Mr Brench's house.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I reach his house it was a dark brick with curtains over most of the windows honestly I didn't trust him that much due to how creepy he acts and looks, Mr Brench was a tall and lanky man with a short beard and a grumpy expression across his face. I almost shiver thinking about it "Hello Amelia." A lowly and emotionless voice calls out, I turn to see the bad-tempered man scratching his beard "Are you ready to go?" His expression stayed dispassionate as he questioned "Yes sir but I have to be back at the bakery by 11." The tall man shrugs and starts walking in the forest. I realise he started walking away and quickly follow behind him as he grumbles under his breath, we walk deeper into the woods and Mr Brench hides behind a boulder "What are you-" I get cut off "Get down." I quickly go behind the boulder with him and stay quiet. You could hear the birds tweeting and leaves rustling it was peaceful, Mr Brench sat there quietly for a few minutes as I try looking for whatever he was hiding from but unfortunately there was nothing 'Is there something there? What's so dangerous that he cut me off?" All different questions were running in my head like wildfire I was so confused but then he speaks up again "It's gone." I stare at him blankly 'He is actually insane.' he turns to face me as I continue to stare blankly into his eyes 'He is actually nuts.' I get up and start walking away "Where are you going, Amelia?" He shouted "Away from you." I mumbled, I was so angry that I thought he'd be able to help, him? A complete nutjob 'He is clearly insane.' 'Nothing was there or ... Was there?' I walk deeper into the forest listening for footsteps in case he followed me. I climb on a small hill and lay on my stomach watching for animals like a badger or giant centipede I couldn't go after powerful beasts because I didn't know how to use magic or how to fight properly yet.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

As I was watching for small animals I hear a screech type sound "Mr Brench?" I hurried up and ran towards the screaming, there I saw a Giant spider beast and Mr Brench infront of it terrified and trying to crawl away slowly 'What the hell is that.' it was huge and definitely powerful, I wouldn't be able to fight it but I still grabbed a short dragger and threw it at the moving creature. It turned its body slowly towards me but I had already ran the other way it was turning and grabbed the scared man, we hurried out of the forest and back to his old house "Are you alright?" I didn't even think to ask before, he slowly nodded and mumbled to himself as he walks into the house slamming the door in my face. I shrug it off and run back to the bakery to start my lunch shift and hope Valery doesn't find out, she'd definitely worry over me for weeks.
