Kakureta's Backstory

Chapter 4

I say goodbye to the children and starting walking to a local tavern even though I might not be let in due to my young face, I open the door hoping no one would stop me instead I get welcomed by the smell of alcohol and loud music, a bard walks in behind me, I didn't notice him until now "what are you doing here, aren't you a bit young to be here?" I try and look confusing and look around, of course he was talking to me though.. "I'm sorry but you must be confused I'm definitely old enough." He looks at me confused and then changed as he realised "Oh! You're an elf, that makes more sense." I nod and walk away, I see a group of maybe adventurers "Hello." I try to sound friendly as possible hoping this goes well. They look at me and back at each other "Uhm, hello? Did you have a quest for us?" One of them say with a confused expression, I'm guessing they thought I wanted something killed so I shook my head and walked away to find a seat and listen to the music playing.

After hours go by of listening to music, drinking and eating surprisingly I wasn't drunk but I was getting tired so I walked out the tavern saying goodnight to people on my way out and making my way to the palace, I stopped by the market again most of them were closed now but I still brought my parents some good for dinner, speaking about them they're probably worried but at least I didn't get stopped by guards that would have been annoying and embarrassing. I reach the palace gates and mentally and of course physically prepare myself for what might happen when I open them, I open the to find Jade on the other side of the gate my parents must have told her and she got worried sick. I felt bad for her, it's cold outside so I gently shook her to wake her up "Kakureta?" She asked rubbing her eyes "Hi Jade, I'm back." I say gently whole smiling, I grab her and help her up walking with her to her room I don't know why but she was incredibly quiet, it kinda shocked me "I hope you didn't worried to much." I say 'Of course I did! You idiot where the hell were you?!" She says playfully hitting me even though I knew she was angry "I went out of the palace since no guards were around and I didn't tell my parents because they definitely wouldn't have let me out." I explain. She nods and walks into her room "Goodbye idiot." She says while closing her room "Goodnight." I mumble.

I drop of the food to the kitchen and ring the bell to tell my parents there's food, I walk out and into my room and get undressed then into my pajamas. I walk to my vanity and untie my hair, I brush it and then walk to my bed and get under the covers, preparing myself for the loud morning to come. I enjoyed the quiet even if it only lasted a few hours. I slowly fall asleep into a deep sleep while thinking about the wonderful day I had, I should do it again sometime was my last thought until I completely was asleep.
