Kakureta's Backstory

Chapter 20

I open the door for Val then I follow making sure to close the door and lock it behind me, I look over to Valery "That guy was so weird, we kept looking at me." I said giving a concerning look "I think he just thought you were a pretty girl." Even though Val said that I knew that wasn't true 'Did he know me from before I lost my memories?' Surely not so I shook off the feeling and went upstairs as Val makes dinner while I try to fix myself up by redoing my messy hair and removing my makeup then I check the clock 'Oh, it's only 8 I'll go eat dinner then have a shower.' I hurry down the stairs and into the kitchen "Ah! I was just about to call you, I finished dinner." Val puts the meal on a plate and then moves the plate onto the table along with a glass of wine, I sit down as Val puts her plate down then joined me at the table so we could eat together and talk about today accompanied by lots of laughs "Did you see his face though, it was so funny." We both laughed at the memory of what his face was like "For a so called guard, he's not very good at hiding his emotions." I giggled then finished my last bite from the plate "I finished." I said as I moved my chair back "Alright, I'm nearly finished so I'll wash up, you should go get ready for tonight it's 9 already." I sigh and nod then head up to the bathroom to wash my hair and body.

I turn off the warm shower slowly trying to save every drop to keep myself warm then I get out and grab two towels, I put my head drop making my hair fall and wrap it into a towel then I wrap my body in a towel, I hurry into my room and quickly dry myself then I change into the clothes I was wearing earlier and the same jewellery so I don't have to rush around to pick a whole another outfit, I grade my black boots that lace up then I do my makeup as my hair dries, I put on concealer lightly then I lightly tab some greenish yellow eyeshadow on and finish it off with mascara and lipgloss like before. As I wait for my hair to dry completely I correct my makeup making sure there's no mascara on my eyelids then I brush my hair and style it into a half up half down hairstyle after I make up way stairs and check the time 'Perfect it's 10:30.' I begin to write a note for Val 'I'm going out to a Tavern in a different city, I might take a long time sorry.' I finish it with a signature of mine, I leave it on the kitchen counter so she sees it in the morning and left to a far away tavern in case I did something weird then no one would know me. 'Okay, well I need to find out where I want to go.' I walked down the streets to an adventurer guild which could be called an information center, I asked for a map of the cities near here and fortunately they had maps I could use. I thanked the person and made my way to the blacksmith from yesterday and collected my items quickly then left to find the closest carriage I could find so I wouldn't have to walk the whole way, as I wait for the owner of the cart I found to come back I look at the map and decided on a place which apparently was called Kropus.

I sit on the floor as a pale man comes up to me "Why are you by my carriage? Do you need something?" He asked as he glares down at me "Oh! Yes I was wondering, could you-" I get cut off by the man as I help myself up ''No, I won't be taking you anywhere." Honestly I thought the horse was laughing at me ''But I need to get there, I'm celebrating my birthday." I try pleading but he just kept glaring, I sigh and pretend to walk off then as he walks away as well I climb on the front of the carriage where the seats are and make the horse start moving, they were slow until the man noticed and ran after it as he started screaming, the hose instantly got quicker and outran him easily then after a while on the path the horse got comfortable with me making the ride to Kropus a lot easier. Within 20 minutes we made it to the city gates so I leave the carriage at the gates and tell someone lost it, I say goodbye to the horse for a whole minute due to the bond I had created with it then I make my way through the empty streets to find a building with lights on but I get distracted by all the stray animals and adorable shops I passed by, after a while I make it through the streets and find a noisy tavern with fancy decorations on the outside, I walk in slowly to check how crowded it was inside but instead got dragged in by the amazing music playing and people cheering, laughing and drunkily singing.
