Kakureta's Backstory

Chapter 12

I finish explaining to Jade as she keeps screaming of excitement "You stuck out twice without getting caught?! Then you get the crown, you're so lucky you didn't get caught, you could be kicked out." Her smile was as bright as the sun she couldn't stop smiling, she was truly happy for me. "Hey, wanna come with me to the village again?" I wink at her, the last time was so fun "We could go to a tavern for a while." I added "Oh, we have to!" She hugs me and we run into my room to get changed into incognito type of clothing, Jade picks a white dress with a light blue cloak to go with it and some boots while I went with black and red clothing, we both did our hair into ponytails and put the cloak hoods up. I tied up blankets and covers together making a rope like before and then tied it tightly to a table next to the window, we both climbed down on the ropes one after the other and then ran into the forest giggling with excitement from what we just did, it's still the same excitement as the other times. We walk farther into the forest while occasionally jumping over rivers or stubs but if the river was too big we'd jump on some rocks in the water.

We make it in the village still laughing from jokes and being silly and go straight to a small bakery owned by a child and her mother "Hello, would you like to buy any cakes? This is my favourite!" The little girl said while pointing at a red and white cake "Oh, really? Well we would like a small bag of cookies please." Jade said giving the sweet girl a few copper coins, the mother walks in after hearing us order and gives us a cute pouch full of cookies "Enjoy!" The lady said. Jade and I wave goodbye and walk out making our way to the park full of kids. We sit on a nearby bench and talk about when we were younger, all of a sudden we hear gasps and lots of footsteps getting louder. We both turn our heads to the noise and see guards coming, I immediately grab Jade's hand and we start running into an alleyway and hiding behind some boxes. I put my hand over jade's hand and then put my other on my own, we quietly waited for the noise of footsteps to disappear after a while of sitting in silence we realised it was clear and started laughing loudly "That was so fun!" I smile brightly and Jade keeps laughing "Did you see their faces!?" Jade said holding her stomach.

I stand up and look around the corner looking for guards but I see tons of them around the place looking for us, I quickly walk back to the boxes "Well? Are we in the clear?" I shook my head 'Oh no, we're gonna get caught.' I thought, Jade got up and grabbed my hand "It's gonna be okay." She says trying to reassure me, I nod and we walk out of the alleyway mostly instantly guards crowd us and grab me by the arms leaving Jade to just watch "I'm sorry" I mouth the words to Jade as she follows quietly behind. We made it through the village and to the palace where my parents were waiting for me, their expressions were horrifying you would think they were staring at their enemy right now. "So, where have you been?" My mother said crossing her hands I just stand there looking at the ground "That's it, you've disappeared too many times and disobeyed our orders." My father shouts "Get out, now!" He finishes, I look at him with sorrow but all I could see in his was rage, I walk into the palace making my way to my room and grab anything I will be needed then a guard walks me to the palace gates. I was so angry and upset as I was walking away I flipped the guards and my parents off making my mother nearly scream.
