Chapter 4

Lara and I were recently sent to help special forces track down Quan-Chi's specters we had already found Sindel she was over by a Cerberus the damned thing is huge! Anyways as she walked away we tailed her she led us to a dead end turned around and said "Come on out I know you're there" Cassie had signaled me to walk around my rock to start the assault as I did so Sindel screeched obliterating the rock I was behind my ears were ringing and there was pieces of rock in my arms she lifted me up by the neck and held me to her face and before she could shriek I summoned a fire ball and smashed it into her skull when the ball exploded I could feel the searing flames lick my face burning and charing my skin then I felt her grip fail as I started running out of air then she let go and with that I fell and hit the ground hard with what felt like millions of rocks digging into my back and trust me it hurt. My vision had been failing when Lara ran over while the others detained Sindel she managed to pick me up guess the training really helped but she carried me all the way to the base i heard her calling for help then nothing. As I woke up my arms were stiff and hurt like hell when I got up I found a mirror and looked in it my face was terrible it had cuts,bruises, abd worst of all was the burns now just pinkish scars but they still burned like fire. When I turned around I accidentally kicked a table and a pain shot up my right leg when I looked at I saw it was in a cast then I managed to get back up and get my weapons as I walked out of the base I saw the earth realm portal shut but no one cane through they had left probably thinking I was dead then I heard a giant foot step and the crushing of metal I turned around to find Lui Lang on top of the Cerberus which had crushed the base and so I took off running and trying to open a hell portal once I managed to open it I was about to be stepped on by a giant three hundred ton three headed dog and with that jumped for the portal and I just barely made it through I came out in earth realm on a tundra I looked into a piece of ice and my reflection I did not like my eyes were glowing white from corruption and I was slowly transforming into a demon. After about 5 miles I looked into another piece of ice only to see my eyes were glowing yellow....... I was a demon. Then suddenly (pineapples) Frost came out of nowhere and was about to attack when she noticed the symbol of the Shiria Ryu and the sorrow on my face she looked at me closely and then said in sorrow "James is that you?" I replied "Yeah" she looked at me then explained what Lara had said happened after I blacked out and I just so happened to die then Frost said "I know we aren't friends but I'm sorry for what happened" and with that she hugged me and I thanked her and asked her to take me to my clan. When we arrived the first thing I did was run to Lara's room when I ran in she started to scream but stopped as I hugged her and said "I missed you."
