Giyu and Shinobu walked along the path near a village, with their hands linked. Shinobu looked to the side at a field that was full of bear flowers. She crouched down and held her nose close to the plant, taking in its fragrance. Giyu looked at the town, seeing that a market had been set up. "Shinobu." "Yes?" "Is it alright with you if I go to the market?" The young woman looked at her lover with a smug grin. "You want to buy something for me?" Giyu scratched his cheek awkwardly. "You are so easy to read, Giyu."

Shinobu placed a kiss on Giyu's cheek. "Get me whatever you want. It's sweeter that way." Giyu nodded. "Okay. I'll be right back." Before he could turn and leave, Shinobu cleared her throat. "Aren't you forgetting something?" Giyu didn't understand. His girlfriend turned her cheek to him, hoping it could give him some implication. It did not, unfortunately. She frustratingly walked towards him, and pulled him down into a kiss. "That's what I wanted, you idiot." "Oh. Sorry", said Giyu. He kissed Shinobu's cheek then walked to the market.

Giyu looked around at all the stalls, trying to find the right thing to buy for his lover. His eyes landed on a stall that sold hair accessories. The young man remembered that Shinobu wore a hair pin normally, so perhaps she would like a new one. He approached the stall, being greeted by the man behind it. "How can I help you today, sir?" "Hi. I would like to buy one of these." "Sure. Which one?" Giyu scanned the accessories set out in front of him. He did this for about a few seconds before his attention was caught by a flower hair clip.

"This one. This is the one I want." The man behind the stall nodded. "That will be ¥7384." Giyu got out his money, but much to his disappointment, he did not have enough money. "Need some help?", came a voice from behind Giyu. He turned around to see a woman. She took out some money and handed it to him. "Here. That should be about enough." Giyu shook his head.

"I can't accept this." "Nonsense. I still have enough money left." Giyu looked at the money in the woman's hand, and reluctantly took it. He handed it to the man behind the stall. The man in turn handed the hair clip over to Giyu. "Thanks", he said to the woman. "But are you sure you have enough money?" "My husband's rich. What do you think?" Giyu was surprise at this.

The woman didn't look like she came from a wealthy family. "He owns farms", she said, almost as if she read Giyu's mind. "I just come to markets to enjoy myself. Plus, it's good for this little guy." The woman turned around a bit to show a carrier on her back with a baby in it. She then looked at Giyu's hair clip. "So who's the lucky lady?" "My girlfriend. She's waiting for me by the fields."

"She's a lucky lady to have someone as handsome as you", said the woman, making Giyu blush. "Actually, I'm the lucky one to have her." The woman smiled. "Then try not to lose her, okay?" "I won't." "Good." The woman waved at Giyu and walked off. The young man turned to walk away as well, before seeing a familiar face in the distance. It was Shinobu, and she looked mad.

Giyu stood frozen in fear, which grew more the closer Shinobu walked closer. "Hello, Giyu", she said in a friendly, but menacing, voice. "So who was that woman?" "Oh her? She was just someone I met today. Nothing to worry about." "You two look like you had a wonderful talk." "Yeah." Shinobu turned and walked away, with her boyfriend following her. "So...", began Giyu. "Don't talk. Not until we're alone", Shinobu said. "I'd hate to cause a scene."

Giyu gulped. He was now terrified for what was about to come. "O-okay."

. . .

Giyu and Shinobu were outside the village, away from prying eyes. Giyu realized this, and was now worried for what his girlfriend had in store for him. She turned to him with a sadistic smile still on her face. "Now, explain to me what happened between you and that woman back there?"

"I was just trying to buy you something. I didn't have enough money, so she gave some to me", explained Giyu. "After that, she just introduced herself, we had a short conversation, and then that was when you showed up." "What did you talk about?", asked Shinobu, her expression still mot changing. "She told me why she had so much money, and then showed me her baby. She's married, so I would never go after her. You understand that? I love you, Shinobu. And only you." Shinobu's expression finally changed. It had changed into one of shock, and then into one of shyness.

"You do?", she asked. "Yes. That's what I told the woman. That I was lucky to have someone like you, and then she told me not to lose you." Shinobu felt her heart skip a few beats from what her lover just said. She dashed towards him and tackled him to the ground, snuggling into his chest. Giyu looked at her confused. "I love you, you idiot", said Shinobu.

Giyu smiled and kissed her head. "I love you too." Shinobu looked at him. "Now what did you get me?"

Giyu reached into his pocket, pulling out the hair accessory that he bought. Shinobu marveled at it. "You want to put it in my hair?" Giyu nodded. Shinobu removed her butterfly hair clip, then turned her back to Giyu so that he could put the flower clip in it. After about a minute, he was finished.

"How do I look?", asked Shinobu. "Beautiful as always", answered her boyfriend. She smiled and placed a kiss on his lips.
