I ended up falling asleep from being overwhelmed with emotion the second that I got into Lisa's room and slipped out of her room when I woke up at 5 am the next morning. In my daze and also decided awakeness, I go to my room, quickly change into some running clothes and leave the hotel in under ten minutes, taking only my phone, headphones and keycard out with me.

I take in a deep breath of the fresh air of Monaco as I walk into the lobby, giving a sheepish smile to the people working in the hotel who are surprised to see me awake but smile at me nonetheless. I stand on the steps of the grand hotel as I do my stretches and look around, I was rather unsure of my next steps - not knowing the city in the slightest but with a desperate need to run to get some of the emotions that were beginning to overwhelm me. With a huff of air, I took off in a light jog down the only streets I knew and made my way to the track. Once there, I quickly slipped onto the circuit which was closed for business to cars but open to the pedestrians of the city until later today.

I smiled to myself as I picked up the pace around the track and began pushing myself, feeling my breath get more shallow as my heart beats hard against my chest. After three laps of the iconic track, I finally relented in my pace, slowing down to a walk as I put my hands on my knees and looked down at the famous harbour where the larger boats were already making themselves comfortable and lifted my phone up to show how the sunlight was beginning to hit the bay and posted the simple photograph to Instagram, tagging the track and F1 in the photograph before continuing on a cool down walk. I could feel my aching muscles cool down as I walked the rest of the way around, slipping out of the track at the same place I got in before walking the familiar path back up the hill to the hotel. A quick check of my apple watch let me know that it was now 6:30 am and I had already burnt all the calories I needed to for the day, which felt like a solid success.

Something I really needed at this point.

By nine, I was back down at the track, still not having seen anyone despite going for breakfast in the hotel but was delighted to get to the paddock and walk through the turnstiles, seeing the mood begin to pick up as people were now at the track compared to when it was deathly quiet from before.

"Jamie!" A familiar voice called out to me just as I was about to walk into the AT garage and I turned around, bringing a hand up in an attempt to block out the sun. Seeing Yuki bought a smile to my face, especially when I saw he was without his teammate and so I waved and hung back outside the garage entrance as he jogged to catch up with me. "You are okay?" He asks me, tilting his head to the side as his eyes track over me as though looking for injury and I nod, smiling lightly at him.

"Yup, got a run in this morning, ready to just get going today," I tell him as we walk in side by side, I follow him over to his side of the garage and just put my bag down in the corner, similar to yesterday but aware that I would need to take it away later given how busy the garage would be in an hours time.

"A run?" The Japanese driver's face twisted in horror at the idea. "Already today? What is wrong with you?"

I laugh and shrug, "I had some stuff I needed to get out of my system, a run seemed to be the answer." I told him and he nodded knowingly.

"Boy drama?" He asks and I giggle nodding as I can tell he wants to enquire more.

"My boyfriend broke up with me because I took this job, he didn't want to deal with me travelling around the world and so he just ended it. Three years together...done! I had a bad call with him after I got back to my room last night," I explained conveniently leaving out the part about his teammate and he made an ahhh sound. I started unpacking my bag and setting up my camera as I sat on one of the fold-out seats at the back of the garage and he hops up onto the side where the mechanics normally leave their tools, although most aren't here yet.
