I apologise in advance for this chapter...I didn't realise how bad it was until I was editing it...and then it was too late to do anything about it really...brain fog is real :(

Miami race week was mental, I could tell that from the moment we got into the paddock on the Thursday and I heard fans screaming mine and Chiara's names from wherever they were situated. It was like no one told the Americans that they had three grand prix's this season which was kind of funny. While it was a lot to get used to - it was far from bad and added some more excitement to our mornings. Thursday night was when we had arranged to go out for dinner and actually the group had grown considerably to the point where I was a lot less nervous for it and actually closer on the excited end of things as Daniel and his girlfriend had decided to join along with a few other drivers like Charles and so while I knew the intention started as trying to get Pierre and I to hang out, I was quietly confident that it was going to be too busy for that to happen and if it did...then I could escape if I felt the need to.So the day passed by and I did the usual process, more than a little at ease in the role of team photographer now as I tried to figure out how to do more within the team and beyond, sometimes a little antsy at being restricted to just being a photographer. While it was all crazy and new last season, I was more than settled now in the team, however I was struggling somewhat with the fact that I used to be my own boss and have control over what projects I did. Having cut down on the extra projects I said yes to due to exhaustion and an attempt to stay within a regular amount of work hours each week, I could feel myself getting antsy and...a little unfulfilled? I'd mentioned it to Tracy but she just said she would talk to the team and see if they could get me some more project work - kind of missing the point that I was making in the first place that the day-to-day kind of monotonous work was taking up too much of my time.
I decided to sit in the garage and sketch on my iPad, trying to get some of the creative energy out of my brain so that I could focus on the weekend and tackle it with a clear head and by the end of the day I'd created a poster of sorts from placing pictures of the cars and the drivers onto a background I'd taken of the Miami track earlier today. I'd then drawn over the top of it to make it look a little more artsy and graphic to fit in with the Miami vibes. Once happy with it, I showed to Tracy who was thrilled by it which helped a little bit with the anxious itch I was getting with the job. After that, media day was basically done and I headed back to the hotel alongside Chiara as we talked about the night that it seemed had gotten even bigger as the day had gone on and drivers had spoken to each other and their friends.
Chiara informed me that at last count it was looking to be at least 40 people, especially considering there had been no proper celebrations following Baku which meant that the guest list just kept on growing. That put the pressure both on and off at the same time as I went around getting ready for the night, back to sharing a room with Chiara for this trip and we were both running around trying to find nice but good outfits for the night. Ultimately, Chiara wore a tan mini dress that clung tightly to every single curve of her body and made me want to get straight back out of the white cowl neck silk mini-dress that I was wearing, but she insisted I stayed in it and so reluctantly I did as we got ready, me keeping my hair down in loose waves while she pulled hers back and I just teased her the entire time about looking like she was going around supporting Mercedes with her turquoise eyeliner. Tonight, she really looked the part of a devil and all I could do was try to not look too bad next to her as I went for light gold make-up, definitely taking on more angelic vibes.
We both managed to get ready in time and I pulled on the lace up heels that went with the dress as Chiara did the same but despite being ready on time, we were late to the dinner because we stayed behind and took photos along with filming some TikToks.
