I was heralded back into the kitchen much to my dismay. Sirius was bouncing at my side excitedly. I scowled at him and ignored everyone else. Marlene was called back into the kitchen and sat as far from me as she could, or rather as close as Sirius would allow.

"I trust Yves has explained what needed to be made clear?" Dumbledore asked, his eyes lingering on Sirius. What was that about? Everyone except Marlene nodded.

"Good, good. Now that that is out of the way..." He said taking a sip of tea, he looked tremendously pleased with himself, "It has occurred to me that Yves has acquired a great many skills in the years since she left Hogwarts. She has had a lot more experience than any of you." He said looking around the table, "I think it would be beneficial if we took advantage of her particular skill set. Yves, I would like for you to train your compatriots. I think your real life experience will be invaluable in preparing them for what is to come. Of course, we do have experienced Aurors who would be able to help you from time to time but their hands are a little full at the moment. I have however, consulted with them and they agree that Yves could only help and that, at the core of it, you are basically an Auror, just without a title."

James started chuckling and I looked over. He was looking at Sirius. I changed the direction of my gaze and Sirius was grinning from ear to ear, his face innocently excited.

"I don't think that's a good idea." I said eyeing Dumbledore meaningfully.

"Codswollop." Dumbledore said amused, "You have had several more real life instances of combat, spent a great deal of time on your own, and you have survival skills that can only be taught once experienced."

"I really don't think I'm the best candidate." I said pressing the issue. He had to understand that I had to get out of here. He had to!

"Nonsense," He said draining his tea and standing, "I trust you implicitly." And he exited the kitchen. Unbelievable.

I sank back into my chair shaking my head.

"We've got you now Yves." Said James playfully. I rolled my eyes but everyone was smiling up at me brightly. I could see the hope in their eyes. Damn it!

"I'll work out a training schedule tonight." I said defeated, "We'll begin tomorrow." I rose to leave the room.

"I'll help." Sirius said enthusiastically from behind me. I tried to ignore him. He was thoroughly too excited about this. He followed me up the stairs and into his room. I threw my backpack over my shoulder and he looked at me lopsidedly.
