We are announcing the start of this year's Purge, which has been officially authorized by the government.
Class 4 and below weapons are authorized for use during the Purge. All other weapons have limited approval.
Government officials of rank 10 have been granted immunity for the Purge and may not be harmed.
Once the siren sounds, all crimes including murder are allowed for 12 hours.
Police, fire and emergency medical services will be unavailable until seven tomorrow morning when the purge ends.
