The group of alligators had left their vehicles and were now romping on the streets, where not a soul was to be seen. They laughed carefree, told each other stories and used the moment of peace to get to know each other better. It was surprising that in just a few hours a small group of people had already gathered. And so it was less surprising that this small group, consisting of Soobin, Yeonjun, Mino and Baekhyun, went ahead and talked about God and the world.

They were getting to know each other and at a time when everyone could be your enemy.

Nevertheless, they were very interesting conversations and Soobin listened attentively. For example, he learned that Mino had been in the Boy Scouts as a child and that Baekhyun's parents were divorced and that his father was now living with his new flame in Europe.

The boy with the mahogany-colored hair was not really angry, because he visited his father there once a year. Likewise, he told his newfound friends that he was still living with his mother in a small apartment. Since the topic of family came up and Soobin himself talked a bit about Lien and her pregnancy, he added that he had an older sister who lived abroad like Baekhyun's father, but with whom he had no contact, as well as a younger brother named Seungheun. The latter already had a family of his own and Soobin was the proud uncle of a little niece.

He also confided in the three of them, although Yeonjun already knew much of this, that his parents were busy with work far too often and that his big sister had moved out of home fairly early, leaving Soobin to care for Seungheun alone. The bond with his brother was strong, so he often wondered if he and Lien were doing well that night.

"Not having your wits about you is deadly that night," Yeonjun repeated his black-haired friend's words, and cashed in a jostle with his shoulder.

"What about your family, anyway, Yeonjun?" began Soobin, grinning knowingly at the blond nurse. "Aren't you going to pay your father a visit? Now that you'd have the chance?"

Yeonjun shook his head, wanting to nip the topic in the bud right away, but Mino and Baekhyun had become curious and were silently staring at the mystery-mongering couple.

"What?" inquired Soobin, who also couldn't let go.

For years he had listened to this crap about Yeonjun's biological father being a big pile of garbage, and now he wasn't even going to take advantage of Purge Night to see him and confront him?

Questioningly, the black-haired leader of the alligators raised an eyebrow. "Doesn't your mom want to know what's going on with your dad, too? I mean, this thing doesn't leave anyone cold, and definitely not your mother."
