Sun was exhausted.

He'd been running for ages. He knew an apartment where he could hide Blake, but it was on the other side of Vale. He needed to rest, but he needed to get Blake somewhere safe.

He ran for the closest building, which happened to be a bar. Before he went in, he looked off at something. He paused. A feeling of déjà vu set in. He could've sworn he'd seen this view before. It didn't matter. He opened the doors to the bar, and ran inside with Blake in his arms.

"Somebody!" he shouted. "I need help!"

But the bar was completely empty. There was not a single soul in here. This was strange. There should have been someone.

It didn't matter. He found somewhere to go. All that mattered was making sure Blake was alright. He carried her to a table, and carefully set her down on top of it.

He took a step back. She was breathing. Her head wasn't bleeding from the impact. She just needed a few minutes to recover, and then everything would be alright.

Sun turned his head to a TV mounted to the wall. He walked up to it and turned it on. Lisa Lavender was on screen. He turned up the volume.

"A strange series of events have been taking place tonight," Lisa said. "A giant gorilla has supposedly washed up at the shore, and is rampaging the streets of Vale. This photo was taken minutes ago."

A picture appeared on screen of Kong, with a spotlight shining on him, and his arm raised to cover his eyes.

Sun sighed, and shut off the TV. This Kong had changed everything. He'd had a good thing with Blake. He assumed he still did, but it wasn't as strong anymore. Kong had changed her. Whatever friendship they'd previously had, it was hanging from a thread now.

He heard groaning behind him, and he turned around to see Blake waking up, and trying to stand up. He rushed to her side, and pushed her back down onto her back.

"You need to rest," he said. "You got hurt really bad."

Blake looked around at the empty bar. "Where are we?"

"We're in a bar in Vale," Sun said. "We're safe."

Despite Sun's insistence on her resting, Blake sat up, grabbing his arm.

"Where's Kong?!" she said. "Is he alright?!"

Again, Sun pushed her back into a resting position.

"You really need to rest," he said.

"Where is Kong?" she said.

"He escaped."

Blake sighed in relief. "Is he okay?"

"He's . . . alive."

Blake gave him an accusing look. "Sun, is he okay?"

He sighed. "He swam to Vale, and now he's on a rampage."

Her eyes widened, and she tried to stand and run. But Sun grabbed her and held her back.

"Stop!" he said. "You need to rest!"

Blake struggled to escape from his arms, but she was still recovering from unconsciousness.

"I have to go," she said. "I have to save him."

"Are you crazy?!" Sun said. "There's nothing you can do!"

Blake shook her head. She couldn't accept that. Nobody in Vale understood Kong. In their eyes, he was just another Grimm. The only way to save him was to show everyone his kindness. She needed to find him. She needed to save him.
