At the moment we're uncertain about what to do. After finding the phone and torn cloth, we didn't know what else to do so we went through the portal and made it back to the real world. It's not like we could look around and take on armed animal people without any sort of plan or supplies or anything at all. But we still have to do something, we can't let Matt remain captured and stuck in the other world.
I eventually said, "We gotta get Matt back."
"We can't do shit to help him," Pat remarked.
"We have to do something, we can't just let him get killed or imprisoned for life in some world like that."
"What can we do then?" Pat asked. "Those anthros have taken Matt to god knows where, they could have god knows what to defend themselves, and if anyone else dies or gets captured it negates the whole saving trip in the first place."
"I know, but fuck, his parents are going to be devastated when they find out he's missing, I'm going to feel like shit knowing my portal made him disappear, and you two are going to feel bad for not wanting to help," I replied with desperation.
"Woah hold up," Issac replied. "I never said I don't want to help, hell, I want to save Matt. It's just Pat who doesn't want to do shit."
"I want to help!" Pat shouted. "I just don't think there's anything we can really do."
"Then let's make a plan," Issac suggested.
We all sat in silence to think. One day here is one week there, so we can make up a lie to cover for us missing for a day or two here. We also need supplies to last us a few days to a week in the other world. Lastly, we need to know where to start when looking for matt.
"Ok, I have an idea," I announced. "We need to come up with a lie to explain us disappearing for the next few days. Then we need some supplies and guns. Once we're ready we need to find some sort of lead that we can follow back to where they could've taken Matt."
"I got tons of camping and survival supplies at home," Issac explained.
"Any guns?" I asked.
"Hmm, let me think. I've told you about my hunting stories and have pictures of me holding up deer I've shot. I think there might be a gun at home." Issac sarcastically replied.
"Oh come on," I replied with annoyance.
"Sorry." Issac apologized.
"What about the lie to cover for us?" Pat asked.
"I already have to tell my parents a lie that'll explain me taking and camping stuff. Let's just say we are going to some woods to camp for the next few days. We can also say there is no phone signal there so they shouldn't bother calling us." Issac suggested.
"Ok, now what do we do for leads?" I asked.
Pat thought for a second before saying, "I guess we can find the trail the anthros used to get to the village we were at."
"Anthros?" I questioned.
"Yeah, that's what they're called, at least in the show I've been watching with similar people to the ones in that world." He explained.
"I suppose it's better calling them animal people," I replied. "So we get supplies, go into the world, find the trail, then save matt. Maybe one week to get in and out. My parents are already out of town so you two just gotta tell your own parents during the supply run."
"Aight, let's do this," Issac said before he and Pat got up and left.
I was all alone so I took the time to plug the portal in and top off its battery before the trip. I also got into Matt's phone to text his parents since I've noticed him type his password in one time. It was just a joking password that was 6969. I pretended to be Matt and told his parents he was going camping.
