After a day and night of sailing, we can finally see the island in the distance. It looks like a desert or a savanna. We used some binoculars to see a few buildings along the shore so we are going to land our boat there.

Last night was a tough sleep. There wasn't too much room, the rockiness of the boat was annoying, it was mostly quiet except for the annoying splashing of waves against the boat, and Pat who was standing watch kept walking around which was also annoying.

When we woke up in the morning we found the blue snapper Issac caught was stolen. Most of us are tired but at least we're almost at Guapeu. Hopefully, we can catch up with the revolutionaries who were bringing Matt to some dragon lady. We just had to be fast enough to intercept them in time.

"I can't wait to see all the desert anthros." Pat excitedly said as he stared at the island in the distance. "Leopards, cheetahs, lions, cobras, it'll be good. Not too excited to see hyenas though."

"Hyenas is where you draw the line?" I questioned.

"Yeah bro, they have like, you know, dicks."

"Then don't go for the male ones, idiot." I scoffed as I stared off at the island whose intense heat was already coming down on us.

I couldn't understand how things could go from average weather to extremely hot so quickly. This desert island couldn't be that far away from the temperate island so it getting this hot that fast didn't make any sense.

"Hey Elise, how did things get warm so quick? This island is only a day away from the last one." I asked her.

"I believe it's our god's work. They used what power they had to make a few things around the world the way they are, and some say the gods made these three islands, including the underwater kingdom to see how the different types of species close together will interact with what they do within their land." Elise explained.

We got closer and closer to the island until we could finally make out the details of things without the need of binoculars. There were a few docks, a few houses made out of sandy bricks and wood, and a small handful of anthros running things.

The four of us started to slow the boat down by throwing the anchor into the water and pulling the sail up part of the way. The boat slowed down as we hoped as we got closer to an empty dock. We continued to raise the sail until we were relying on the momentum to reach the dock.

As Issac was messing around with the sail he said to himself, "I don't even know what the fuck I'm doing."

I shouted back, "None of us do, sailing is something we just completely winged."

"Oh, don't bring flying into this." Pat joked.

I smiled as I sighed at his dumb joke. Our boat was still moving fast as it reached the dock.

"Oh fuck," I said to myself as I realized that we were going too fast to stop.

Any possibility of our boat stopping peacefully went out the window as it continued to barrel toward the beach.

Elise ran over and grabbed onto me as the front of the boat crashed into the rocky beach. I almost stumbled over but Elise helped keep us both standing upright. The sound of wood snapping erupted at the front of the boat as my other two friends were knocked over. Elise holding onto me kept us both from getting knocked over like them.

Our boat finally came to a stop and I looked up to see the front of it completely broken. I also saw a cheetah anthro come running over while shouting, "What are you even doing?!"

I panicked and shouted, "Oh fuck, I am so sorry, none of us know how to sail and we had to make a crash landing or else something and would happen."

The cheetah stopped outside the boat and looked at me.
