I woke up as the cart came to a stop. I looked around and judging from the dark orange light around us it was probably the evening. The muffled sound of anthros talking with each other could be heard from outside the cart. Some time passed until a door at the back of the cart opened. A Guapeu soldier stepped inside and undid the chains holding us to the seat before he told us to step outside. It felt nice to finally stand up and walk after sitting on an uncomfortable seat for the last few hours.
When we stepped outside the cart I looked around us. Our cart was outside of a cave entrance which was partially lit up by lanterns. Walking around us were a mix of Guapeu soldiers and Ecoorte revolutionaries. They were talking with each other but I didn't have time to listen in as to what because a rattlesnake soldier pushed Issac and I over to a coyote revolutionary while saying, "Here you go, two little humans for the bidding tonight."
"Many thanks, though I doubt they will be auctioned off, two individuals have made plans for them already." The coyote replied.
The coyote led Issac and I into the cave with a few other revolutionaries watching us. As we went deeper and deeper into the cave I noticed revolutionaries hanging out with some of the soldiers. I didn't think the relationship between the two was like this, I thought they'd just be the occasional business partner.
After some more walking, we reached a more open area in the cave. Things started to look more populated and I noticed some structures in the distance. The deeper we went the more structures we saw, which seemed to be ruins of some sort. They were old bricks with fancy carvings in them, and they formed a temple-looking opening at the end of the cave. We stepped through the opening and walked into the old temple.
After we made our way through an open lobby-type area, we walked down a dimly lit hall. As we did I noticed the rooms we passed by didn't have doors so we could see inside. Each room seems to have revolutionaries or soldiers inside of them. They would be sitting around talking, eating food, doing work, sleeping and other basic stuff.
Eventually, the rooms we started to pass by seemed to change into prison rooms. There would be a few guards standing near the doorless rooms with tied-up anthros of various species inside. Shortly after passing those rooms, we had a left turn in the hall near a kitchen-looking area. We passed by a couple of empty rooms, one of which had a wall that for whatever reason was boarded up for whatever reason.
After passing that we finally reached an empty room we were led into. A couple of revolutionaries watched us as a couple of other ones fetched us some chairs. They tied us to them before leaving us with two guards. The two stood near the doorway talking with each other as Issac and I sat in silence. I wanted to say something to Issac so we could form a plan, but with the two guards, I couldn't do anything.
I looked around the room we were in to try and see if there was anything that could be important. On each wall, there were a couple of lanterns keeping the room dimly lit. Off to the left side of the room was a table with two chairs, and on the table were a couple of bottles of wine, a fancy candle, and a couple of metal plates. It kinda reminds me of Matt's cell at the beach camp. I think that stuff was there to loosen up the more higher-quality prisoners for whatever reason so they comply better.
A couple of hours passed with us just sitting in this cell. Not much happened besides a couple of Guapeu soldiers showing up at our cell to check on us before they left. They were desert anthros which reminded me of that one rock python lady who knocked us both out.
I took the last couple of hours to think of a plan that mostly relied on luck on the guards being stupid. Our legs were not tied up so we could move them around, but it didn't matter since the guards would stop us from doing anything. Our hands were bound behind the chain with metal cuffs, so I needed to try and get it switched to a less strong material.
