Peace never lasted long, and Kim Dokja wasn't fortunate enough to feel or find peace. Even in his sleep, he was haunted by nightmares and in reality, everything about his life plagues him.

Until the apocalypse happened.

The apocalypse, where everyone had to survive and have their lives thrown around for the sake of entertainment.

The apocalypse, where no one could be trusted and good intentions always held an ulterior move.

Th apocalypse, where everything you do plays a role in what happens next.

The moment when life begins plaguing everyone was Kim Dokja's way to peace.

His way of surviving.

Because he knew, what was going to happen next. He knew who to be careful about and who to befriend. He knew what happens next and he had the upper hand in this apocalypse. Perhaps it gave him a sense of superiority, or maybe a sense of responsibility.

He was the master of everything that happens and everyone else was simply but his puppet. Puppets that could be thrown away but he never did. He kept them so close, the line between puppet and friend thinned to the point that it was barely seen, their puppet strings snapped.

His friends, mattered to him. And nothing could change that whether there's an apocalypse or not.

And when he got these friends, the apocalypse suddenly felt a lot more happier, easier and peaceful but at the same time it didn't Because nothing about the thought of his friends dying was happy, easy or gave him peace. It left him paranoid and he knew he had to make sure they're safe.

He needed to make sure they're safe, no matter the cost.

But his dream of an impossible fantasy, where everyone survives and is happy was simply a dream far too old for the constellations to like, for anyone except themselves to like. A sacrifice was meant to happen.

And that sacrifice was him.

Unfortunately for his friends, once was never enough to satisfy his goals, their path towards a carefree life. The carefree life they wanted wasn't as tempting as it was before at the cost of Kim Dokja's life.

The carefree life he wants in the future was at the cost of their moments together. Sad moments overshadowed the happy ones and Kim Dokja's death was a common occurrence. A common occurrence that left a hole in everyone's heart. It was just as common as him returning.

That was until his didn't return, and what returned instead was a fragment of him.

Parts of him that mattered and didn't. Parts of him his friends loved and knew, but at the same time they also knew it wasn't him. The Kim Dokja they knew was the same but different.

Until that part was gone too, his sorrowful face as he apologized was the last they saw of him.

Maybe he knew, that the other part of him may not last forever. Maybe it won't satisfy them.

But it was the price to pay for their eternal peace.

He just had to stay there and watch the stories for eternity. Because their eternal peace was his, and his eternal peace was simply staying still forever and watching.
