Hels.

Ren stood stock-still, staring at the knight. Hels stared back, the corners of his mouth twitching upwards in a smile. The knight had dark grey wings with red membranes, similar to Wels', but his tail  didn't have a blade at the tip.

"This is a pleasant surprise." Hels grinned, fire flickering around his razor sharp teeth. "A present! A new toy, all to myself! Or rather, an old toy. I found you again, dog." Ren whimpered and tried to back away, to run from his fear, but something slammed into his back, forcing him onto his hands and knees.

The hybrid tried to get back up, but whatever was behind him continued to shove him back down. Memories flashed through his head, blinding him to what was happening.

His breathing quickened as images flashed through his head. The wall exploding. That circle of grass he was trapped in. Hels with the remote. That button being pressed. Again. And again.

And again.

He was brought back to reality by the scorching pain of fire on his back. He let out a horrible scream of agony. It wasn't the shock collar, but it was nearly as bad. Hels laughed at him as he crumpled to the ground.

Burns appeared all along his back and he screeched, arms and legs flailing uselessly in a pitiful attempt at stopping the pain. He could hear yelling from inside the hall, but there was nothing they could do about what was going down.

There was nothing anybody could do. Ren knew that. Hels knew that. Surely, the Hermits knew it too. He heard a muffled "Gotta go.", then whoever Hels' accomplice was shot away through the bushes. Moments later, a large group of Hermits appeared on the scene.

"Ren! Wait, is that-" Xisuma's eyes widened at the sight of the draconic knight looming over Ren's body. The werewolf stared at him pleadingly, but X couldn't get any closer without Ren getting hurt.

"Hels. Leave him alone. The curses will be removed soon, I'm working on it. Go take your rage out on a training dummy, not on Ren." The admin told him stiffly. Hels just laughed more.

"Take my rage out? Why would I do that? I'm having the time of my life!" The knight gave Ren a kick to the nose. "I'm making the most of this, and you seem to have sent me a toy. So get away from him, or else he's gonna get a free sample of hell. Unless you want to pay for him with your precious server, of course."

The dog hybrid's gaze shot between the two. X seemed like he almost wanted to give in to Hels' demands. No. He can't. This is our home. We would be stranded in the Hub for weeks if we gave in. Ren made his decision.

Trembling, Ren got to his feet, wincing from the horrible burns, and stuttered, "I- X, listen. I'll g-go. I'll b-be fine." Hels gave him a deadly glare, but didn't attack him. Yet. He was sure there would be consequences.

"We can't let Hels take Ren!" Doc yelled angrily, tail lashing. Stress swiftly grabbed him before he could attack.

"Love, I know you're angry. I know you want Ren to be safe. We'll get him back, but now is not the time." She consoled. Doc stopped trying to charge at the sadistic dragon hybrid, but he did not calm down in the slightest.
