As it turns out, Carl sneaked his way into the barn to watch the execution, which stopped Rick from going through with the plan. I thanked Carl for his stupid decision. Dale would be so happy to know! "I'm so relieved. Dale! He needs to know. Let's go!" I said excitedly to them. My brothers smiled and nodded. Sam hopped off the trunk and we looked for Dale. "Oh I can't wait to see the look on his face when-"

"AHH!!" My heart dropped at the familiar scream that echoed through the air. I looked to the open field and broke into a run. My brothers followed my lead. As we got close to the fence, we jumped over it and looked around.

"DALE! DALE WHERE ARE YOU!?" I shouted. I saw some figures moving around in the tall grass and ran towards them. I could see a walker on top of Dale, digging it's rotten hands into his stomach. My heart dropped. "NO!" I held up my gun and shot it in the head. Dean kicked it off of him and we could see his stomach had been ripped open. I breathed heavily, dropping to my knees as tears formed. I shook my head and scooted over to Dale. "No no no no no no! NO! Dale please!" I placed my hands on his stomach, blood began to cover my hands as I tried to heal him. Daryl had arrived and began calling out our position.

"Dale..." Sam muttered.

"Dale! Dale please!" I cried. "WHY WON'T IT WORK!" I sobbed.

"Oh my god-" I heard voices speak. The voiced drowned out of my head I could only hear the muffles shout fo Hershel. Dale! PLEASE DALE! GOD YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE PLEASE NOT HIM! I thought. I tried covering the open wound with my small hands as I trembled. I felt arms wrap around me, trying to pull me away. "NO PLEASE!" I shouted. Once I was fully pulled away I saw Daryl, taking the gun from a crying a Rick, crouching down he aimed it to Dales head. I thrashed in the persons arms trying to stop.

"Sorry, brother."

"DARYL NO-"

BOOM!

I froze limp seeing a now dead Dale laying in the grass. I was gently set down. My legs felt numb, letting me fall to my knees. I stared and scooted to his corpse, placing a shaking hand on his head. I felt nothing. "You..." I whispered before looking up at all of them with tears streaming down my face. "YOU KILLED HIM! YOU ALL DID THIS!" I sobbed.

"Daphne-" Daryl started.

"He- He-..." I stuttered, cutting him off as I crouched, placing my head on the floor and sobbed loudly. Everyone was silent, only my cries echoed throughout the night.

I felt numb. I could hear them speaking but all I could focus on was the freshly dug soil on the ground. My brothers, Cass, and Ace stayed close to me, comforting me. Despite my numbness from the events with Sophia and even now, I felt useless. We separated a bit from the group as the service went on. No one dared to speak to me, or my family.

After the service ended Cass volunteered to stay with me by the grave. Everyone else left. "Hershel is allowing us to move in with him." The angel spoke.

"Mm." Was all I could sound.

"I'm not sure if you want to, but your brothers suggested that we could all sleep outside the house. At least for now, while you heal...Ace can stay in the house if you don't want him to sleep outside with us? Sam suggested the barn, but we think it'll bring unpleasant memories..."

"Mm."

"...I didn't know him personally, but I knew he was a man of good will. He will be very happy up there." His time I stayed silent. More tears rolled down my face again. This time, he pulled me into a hug, and this time, I broke down, again. He held me tight, allowing me to drench his coat in salty tears and snot. "It's over. We're here, Daph. It's over now."

"I- I should've tried harder- I-"

"Couldn't have done anything. How were we to know this would happen? None of this is your fault, Daphne." He hushed me, holding me close.

"I'm tired of loosing people, Cass. I don't want to loose anyone else." I confessed.

"She's asleep now." Sam said, looking back to see his big sister curled up in the back seat of the Impala. With a watch in her hand.

"Thank you, Cass." Dean said, frowning.

"She's hurting." The angel spoke.

"We know."

"...There's something that you should know...I over heard Shane and Rick talking today."

"About what?" Dean asked his little brother.

"That walker from the night? Turns out Carl provoked it in the swamp. Got free and followed him here."

"So the kid..."

"...We can't let her know. She'll hide it because it was a child. Let her mourn for now. Maybe some day she'll find out. But for now..." Castiel looked to the sleeping woman.

"I agree. We say nothing." Sam said. Dean nodded, agreeing with the plan as they all turned to the woman, clenching the blanket and watch.
