??? Pov's
I was driving on the high way in Mississipi. I looked over to my right, my brother was sleeping. "Hello, Dean." I swerved the car almost crashing, luckily I got baby back straight.
"What the-" A groggy voice asked.
"Hello Sam." Sam jumped. I looked in the rearview mirror.
"Goddamnit Cas!" I said.
"Cas! How's Daph?! Is she okay?" Sam bombarded him with questions.
"She is okay, and so is Ace. They found a group. They are still in Georgia, also Daphne said not to go into Atlanta, it's full of the dead." I looked at Sam, we both nodded.
"Thanks Cas. By the way, does she still have the bat that Bobby gave her?" I said.
"Yes, but-" I was confused on why he didn't finish what he was saying.
"Uh? Dean? Cas is gone." Sam told me.
"What? What happened?" I asked. Sam shrugged.
"Cas!" I called out, nothing.
Your POV:
I woke up to a big headache.
"Ow...my head..." I tried to get up only to feel the weight on my thigh. I looked to see Ace asleep as I sat up. I smiled and stroke his head.
"He's been there for a while now." I jumped a little only to see Cas sitting there with a wet towel in hand.
"Cas? What are you doing here?" I asked laying back down.
"I felt your pain. I healed you but you should rest." I shook my head.
"Nope, got things to do, help," I said. He sighed.
"Your brothers are in Mississipi right now, they're coming for you." He said. I smiled. I looked to see Ace holding a music box. I smiled and took it from his hands slowly only to play it.
"Angel of music
Guide and Guardian
Grant me your glory..." I quietly sang."That's a nice song Daphne." Cas said. I sighed.
"How long will it take you to call me Daph, instead of my full name?" I asked the angel. He stayed silent, making me sigh while I played with Ace's hair. "Ace asked me, ever since we saw the Phantom of the Opera, if there was an Angel of Music by his side. He always said he wanted his own angel." I chuckled and looked at Cas, "I told him, It doesn't matter if it's an Angel of music, because I know that someone will always be watching over him." I smiled at the memory as he watched in awe at the Phantom's singing.
Then I frowned. "What is it?" He asked seeing my expression.
"Cas...if anything were to happen to I want you to watch over him, be by his side, no matter what. I know that in this world Angels and Demons can still become Zombies, I'm still not sure how but, please, stay alive. For Dean, Sam, Ace, me..." I said looking at him with sadness in my eyes.
"Daphne- Daph...I-...I promise." He said while looking at Ace.
"You should get back to my brothers." He nodded and left. Ace woke up not a second after he left. I sat up. "Hey, baby," I said ruffling his hair.
"Mom..." He sniffled and had tears and buggers. I smiled.
"Ace, you know the rule, no crying unless me or a loved one is dead." I said. He nodded and wiped them away.
"Mom, why did you attack Sophia's dad?" He asked me. I frowned and hugged him.
"Because her dad is a bad man. He hurts her and her mommy too." I said.
"Poor Sophia and Carol..." He said looking down at his legs. Then he went out of the tent and came with cooked fish. I gasped.
"Ace, who caught this?" I said looking at the fish, at least, five.
"Amy and Andrea! They said they're going to teach me and Carl how to fish! Can I please?" I chuckled.
"Of course! We need all the help we can get!" I laughed at him. we stopped laughing and I picked up the music box and played it. "Sam and Dean gave you this?" He nodded and gasped.
"Uncle Sam and Uncle Dean got more! One for each birthday!" He took out a small box when he opened them there were five music boxes in it. He grabbed the box out of my hand and placed it in between some of it.
"They're mostly from the Phantom of the Opera, I wanted to ask if they could get maybe from other Musicals or something..." He drifted off.
"Hey, they are alive don't worry." He looked at me with wonder.
"How do you know?" I smiled.
"Because my angel said so." I said winking and a finger to my lips. He smiled. I looked outside and it was almost dark.
"Come on let's go, you go on ahead I'll be there." He nodded he left and I had the fish in my hands.
"Cas" I called out softly.
"Yes?" He appeared next to me.
"Here, take some to my brothers, I'm sure they are hungry, and you too," I said giving him the five fishes.
"I- Daph, you need to eat too! I know your brothers would agree with me." Cas protested. I sighed.
"Cas, I'm sure that they have more fish, please. I sure as hell you and my brothers are dying of hunger!" I whispered yelled at him, I can't let them know of Cas. Especially Ace!
"Take. It. Now." I saw him flinch. As I said before, I am not one to be angry. Cas nodded and left with the fish. I smiled in victory, changing into some other clothes before heading out to join the others by the Campfire.
It was already night time, the others were still not back yet. I was getting worried. I sat next to Carol. They all greeted me. I greeted them back and asked for fish. "I've got to ask you, man. It's been driving me crazy." Morales said to Dale. I looked up from eating.
"What?" He asked.
"That watch." Morales said.
"What's wrong with my watch?" Dale asked. I smiled.
"I see you every day, the same time, winding that thing, like a village priest saying mass." Dale said. I chuckled.
"I've wondered this myself." Jacqui said chuckling.
"I'm missing the point?" Dale said.
"Unless I've misread the signs, the world has seemed to come to an end. At least hit a speed bump for a good long while." Jacqui said smiling.
"But there's you every day winding that stupid watch."
"Time. It's important to keep track, isn't it?" I nodded, agreeing with him. "The days at least. Don't you think, Andrea?" Dale said looking at Andrea for help. "Back me up here." Andrea's eyes looked away.
"I agree with him. It's essential to keep time." I said backing him. He thanked me.
I decided to ignore the conversation thinking of my brothers. Ace was sleeping, head on my lap. Suddenly I felt that something was wrong. I gripped my gun in my boot. Something I normally do when I'm nervous. "Where are you going?" I looked up to see Amy standing up.
"I have to pee. Jeez, you try to be discreet around here." They all laughed at her comment and continued eating. The feeling had not escaped me.
"Mom?" He said tiredly.
"We're out of toielt paper?" Amy said. I looked at her and my eyes widen.
"AMY!" I screamed. Everyone looked to see a walker bitting her arm making her scream.
