"OH- I- I am SO sorry! I just needed my clothes." I stuttered, flustering. He turned away.
"'s fine. Brought you and Ace a plate, T-dog made 'em."
"Thanks." he nodded and left. I began drying my hair and eating the eggs at the same time.
Ace already ate his plate and was coloring in a coloring book. I changed into comfortable clothes and brushed my hair then tying it into a ponytail. Now I was reading a book on the couch as I played with my necklace.
"Mommy look!" I saw Ace's coloring book,
"Oh so neatly done ace!" I ruffled his hair. He giggled. I suddenly heard silence with the ringing noise in my ear. Looking around confused, it was quiet.
"What's wrong mommy?" He asked. I waved my hand around and felt a change in temperature.
"It feels a bit warm..." I stood up and waved my hand around the ventilation and felt nothing. "The AC's turned off...weird." Suddenly the power went off.
"Mom!?" Ace ran to me scared. I held him and heard voices outside the room.
"Daryl...?"
"Hold on, Hey! Hey! I'm talking to you!"
"It's going to be alright Ace..." I held him in my arms on the bed making him calm down. suddenly an alarm starting blaring.
"Mom!"
"Ace, hold on!" I ran out the door but no one was there.
"Ace pack everything up!" I told him, he didn't question and did as told. We grabbed our bags and ran down to where the main place was with computers. But instead I found it closed.
"Guys?!"
"DAPHNE!"
"What the hell is happening here?!"
"Jenner locked us in!"
"Wha- Why!?"
"Pack everything up for us!"
"O-Okay! Come on Ace." We ran back to the rooms. "Go pack up Carl's and Sophia's things!" He nodded and ran off. I grabbed Daryls bag and put around my shoulder. Next I went to the continuous rooms and packed everyone else's things up. I went to Rick's & Lori, Shanes, Jacquline, Andrea, T-Dog, Glenn, Carol, and Dale. It took about 25 minutes before I made sure all our weapons were in the bags.
I heard voices coming. I ran out the door and saw everybody. "Get your bags!" I yelled. I held Ace's hand and we ran. We ran up the stairs due to the elevator being out. We made it to the lobby but saw the closed doors. The guys tried to open doors but nothing. Shane and Daryl tried to break the window but no avail. T-Dog grabbed a chair and tried to break it but it didn't work. Shane grabbed a shotgun and yelled at T to move out the way.
I bit my lip when I saw it only made a weak crack. "Mommy...?" Ace looked at me with scared eyes. I held him against my stomach. I tried to think of something but Carol gave Rick a small ball. It looked like a bomb.
"Look out!" I turned ace away and Daryl shielded me on the ground a loud boom broke the glass and made Rick fly.
"Rick!"
"I'm okay! Go! Go!" We all ran to the window jumping out.
"Hold on Ace!" I dropped my bag and jumped out with him in my arms. I landed safely and Daryl grabbed my bag. We ran though the field of walkers. I grabbed my gun from my pants and shot some in our way. Others ran to the Rv and Car. Me, Ace, and Daryl ran to his truck. We jumped in panting.
"Duck!" I put Ace under me to protect him and Daryl was on top shielding me. A loud boom was heard making the ground and car shake. We got up and looked to see what we once thought was a safe haven, now burning in a blaze of fire. I sighed and hugged Ace tight kissing him on the head. I looked to Daryl and nodded my head as a sign of thanks. He nodded and sighed.
"Guess it's time to find a new place..." I muttered. Daryl started the car and we followed behind the group.

We stopped at a hill with a building, Rick told us he had to do something so we waited. I used this as a chance to tell Cass about the events. "I'll be back. Need to go use it real quick." I grabbed my knife and went into the building to find a restroom. Thankfully I found it. I made sure that I wasn't followed.
"Castiel..." I heard a flap of wings and turned to see Cass.
"Daph? What's wrong."
"You must warn my brothers, the C.D.C is gone, we're thinking to go Fort Benning. I'm sorry..." I hugged him. He hugged me back.
"It's fine, as long as you and Ace are alright." I nodded.
"I need to go, they're looking for gas out there." He nodded and in a blink of an eye he was gone. I sighed and walked out going back to the group.
