"I still can't believe Draco didn't run away. Pansy and Lavender didn't either. I guess we shouldn't really judge them as complete backstabbers." Hermione speaks more to herself than the group. You, Ron, Harry, and Hermione are all spending the afternoon in Hagrid's hut to discuss about last night's punishment. With the four of you here, the hut feels more cramped than usual. Hagrid is busy boiling some hot chocolate for his passing visitors while sniffling.

The giant is still sad about his fallen friend, Aragog. Fang, Hagrid's loyal over-sized boarhound,  rubs his nose against Hagrid's leg to comfort the heartbroken man. "Don't be too sad Hagrid. He's in a much better place now. Aragog was lonely after his wife died." Harry looks over to Hagrid who begins to place four cups on a tray.

"You're right. I'm sure many of the other inhabitants of the forbidden forest is happy to reclaim the land free of cobwebs and hoards of spiders." Hagrid huffs out while offering the hot chocolate to the group. You begin to reach out for a cup when Ron hastily grabs your cup for you. You huff out a sigh when you look at Ron who extends the cup towards your left hand. The one uninjured.

Ron's behaving as though your right arm is nonexistent. The moment you returned to Hogwarts Ron had rushed you over to the hospital wing where you were lectured for returning so quickly after barely recovering. The area is cleaned and bandaged now. A scar may form on the area which saddens you. Draco and Ron were furious when they listened to the nurse state that fact.

"My right arm is functional Ron." You prove this to him by swapping the mug from your left hand to your right. Ron's eyes nearly fall out of his head when he chokes on the hot chocolate he drinks. The boy sets his cup down to return your mug back to your left hand. "Idiot! I noticed you scrunching your face earlier when you raised your arm during lunch."

To your surprise you didn't realize how observant Ron is. He seemed so engross about telling the tale of how he had saved you and Draco the last second from Aragog's pounce. Hermione and Harry look at one another with coy smiles when the two watch you both with their mugs nestled in their hands. "It's just a bit sore. Nothing to worry about." You mutter under your breath.

A sound of light tapping against the window brings attention to the five in Hagrid's hut. Ron raises a brow when he sees his owl. The boy gets up to open the door and his owl clumsily flies in to drop a letter on Ron's head before wildly flying back out. Ron grunts when he's been hit by his owls wings. "That clumsy bird." Ron runs his fingers through his hair while taking the letter off of his head.

Before the boy walks far the letter rips open and a loud voice rings out belonging to Mrs. Weasley. The letter is actually a howler. Everyone hastily clasps their hands over their ears from the shriek. "RONALD BILIUS WEASLEY! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS? YOU'VE CAUSED SO MUCH TROUBLE IN A SINGLE MONTH. YOU BETTER BE IN ONE PIECE WHEN I SEE YOU IN TWO MONTHS."

Everyone slowly lowers their hands from their ears but the howler is not done. Mrs. Weasley just took a momentary pause. "I know Y/N is next to you so this message is from her parents who hardly yells at their sweet girl." You gulp as you sit up straighter. Mrs. Weasley is not one to hesitate in yelling at you too. You've grown up with Ron so she treats you like one of her own.

"A YOUNG LADY SHOULD NOT GET INTO FIGHTS. YOUR PARENTS ARE VERY SADDEN TO HEAR THEIR STELLAR DAUGHTER IS GETTING INTO PETTY DRAMA. KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN AND FOCUS ON YOUR STUDIES." Mrs. Weasley then clears her throat and speaks in a more sweet tone. "I look forward to seeing you during winter break. Love you Y/N sweetheart."

The howler then shreds itself as everyone is stunned into silence. Ron lays his eyes on you as the both of you lower your heads in shame. "Mother didn't even tell me she loves me. She must really be mad at me." Ron mutters under his breath as he ruffles the side of his hair.
