Destruction. Reconstruction. Mourning. Rain. Pain. Utter sadness. Silence.

Those words describe the many lives that still stand after the war against Voldemort. Bodies have been accounted for. A mix of Death Eaters, noble witches and wizards, great professors, and admirable students. Hogwarts just isn't the same for now. The first two weeks went by incredibly slow.

Everyone aided in cleaning up the debris. Students begin to be escorted home in the meantime while Hogwarts gets rebuilt in safer conditions for the school session to proceed. Many have debated whether or not to end this year early but it was agreed that this school year will be picked up in two months time. Majority of the seventh years are the last ones to leave Hogwarts. They're the students mourning the hardest from the lost of their friends they once spent their school years with.

Today is like the others. Gloomy, cold, and raining. Many students hold their heads down as tombstones begin to cover the grounds just outside of the castle wall near Hagrid's hut. A tiny graveyard has been made to honor those in battle. You're on your knees in front of a particular grave.

You've done nothing but cry and throw up since the war. Your appetite completely gone and your mind never calm. A deep frown paints your face when you rest your forehead against the tombstone. Your fingertips brush against the name: Draco Malfoy.

You cannot bare the thought that Draco had risked his life to keep you alive. You feel unworthy of his brave sacrifice. There's so much you wished you had said to the boy at the astronomy tower. But your words always fail when you truly need them. Rain trickles onto you as your tears and the droplets mix. You feel even more alone without Ron.

He had to rush back with Ginny and the rest of his family after the death of Percy. The family needed their own time to mourn and give their deceased family member a proper burial despite their thin bond at the time. Family is family no matter what. Despite Percy walking down the wrong path. Harry himself is mourning the loss of Dumbledore. The boy has hid himself in the Gryffindor common room and has yet to be seen leaving the place.

Hermione was urged by her parents to take an early leave with the rest of the other students. The same is said for Luna and Neville. Hagrid is busy with reconstruction on Hogwarts with McGonagall. The sound of pitter patter and your crying fills your ears as you gasp from your sobbing. You wish to cry out all of your pain.

The sound of rain dampens when you realize the rain is no longer dripping on you. Slowly, you raise your eyes up to see a blurry figure holding out an umbrella. It's not someone you expect to ever see. Wiping your eyes, you get a better look of the person. Pansy Parkinson stands in front of you with an umbrella between the two of you.

You fear she's hear to throw a tantrum at you. She's probably going to bitch and moan about how Draco would've been alive if it weren't for you. But none of that animosity leaves Pansy's lips. The moment you both look at one another is when you see her eyes gloss over. The girl quietly crouches down in front of you with tears falling from her own eyes.

"I miss him too Y/N. But I'm even more positive Draco wouldn't want you to get sick as you cry for him in the rain." Pansy speaks kindly as her lips twitch into a frown. You cast your eyes over to Draco's tombstone. The two of you stare at his name in silence.

Catching your breath, you look over to Pansy. The girl wears a pained expression when she looks at the tombstone in front of her. "I'm sorry." You find your voice as you begin to speak. Pansy averts her attention back to you.

"I'm sorry for everything." The words tremble out of your throat as you feel the frown on your face return. Tears easily fall from your eyes again when you breath deeply. You dig your fingernails into your palms and gasp as you speak between sobs. "For ruining your relationship. For not saving Draco. For all of it. Your pain and anger."
