"Harry, you must wake up my dear." There's a faint voice of a woman that speaks towards Harry. He scrunches his face as he slowly opens his eyes. But Harry quickly hisses out at the bright white light that blinds him. His vision takes a moment to clear up and that's when his heart is lodged in his throat. Before Harry is his parents.

Is this heaven? Where even is he? "Mom? Dad?" Harry breathlessly looks at the two adults who are crouched in front of him with tearstained eyes. The two wear proud smiles when they look at him. Harry's mother strokes her fingertips through Harry's hair, enveloping the boy close to her.

Harry widens his eyes from being embraced by his mother for the first time. It all feels surreal. "W-Where am I?" Harry nervously looks at his father who strokes his cheek. "You can say you're in the between. You're not dead yet Harry. Which is why we're here to help guide you back to reality."

There's a look of confusion in Harry's face. He's not dead? But he clearly remembers Voldemort using one of the three cursed spells on him. The last memory Harry remembers is seeing Y/N's face. His heartstrings tug at him as he downcast his eyes and a frown forms on his face. "It's a bit difficult to explain. But just know that he only killed the horcrux that you were intertwined with." James Potter murmurs out as he pulls his hand away from Harry.

Lily Potter, Harry's mother, pulls herself away from Harry. She takes a long look at Harry. Taking every detail of her son who she hasn't been able to be with. "As much as we want you to stay with us, you have many loved ones who are missing you. Your father and I will continue to look out for you."

Harry's eyes gloss over when he looks at his mother. Just when he reunited with his parents, they're telling him it's time to go. Harry told himself that death is the right choice. He mentally prepared for it all to come to an end. But...there is a lot of regret Harry has. He just began to love being alive again.

Seeing his friends, going to school with them, entering adulthood once they graduate from Hogwarts. Finding love and having his own family. There's plenty of things Harry wants to do. If only he could bring his parents back too. But bringing the dead back to life is impossible. Magic can't even do such a thing.

"We apologize that we're not there to fight alongside you Harry." James speaks up as he helps Harry stand up. His parents hold each of his hand as the three slowly begin to walk forward. The white abyss looks like there's no ending to it. But Harry is in no rush. He wants to talk to his parents as long as time allows him to.

Harry shakes his head as he gazes at each of his parents. "You tried your best. Don't blame yourselves. I'm only this strong because of your sacrifices along with many of my friends and professors." Harry feels a sense of proudness when he mentions those close to him. The smile on his parents faces gives him relief.

"Your friends, tell us who they are." Lily asks while giving Harry's hand a gentle squeeze. Harry's eyes light up as he nods his head. The boy feels completely happy that they want to hear about his friends. Not in a million years would Harry think he would have such great friends. He spent majority of his life only dealing with the Dursley family. Dudley was by far the most ungrateful boy he's known.

Harry lowers his eyes with a smile etching onto his face. "Ron Weasley is the first friend I made. His family has helped me out a lot. They treat me like one of their own sons. The boy may be a total scaredy-cat but he's extremely great at chess. Ron is the kind of friend who will stick by your side till the very end. He'll put his fears aside to help the ones he loves."

"Sounds like a loyal friend you have there Harry. Keep him close." James chuckles as Harry nods his head to his fathers words. Harry continues on to boast about the next person. "Then there's Hermione Granger. She's incredibly smart. We wouldn't have made it this far without her. She can be a bit much at times but it's because she deeply cares about us all."
