Chapter 16: Planning

After sitting and talking for five hours, the sun was down and Daniel was stretching to get ready to leave.

"I have to go."
"What?" Annie sat up quickly. While Daniel was paying attention because the clock is his new boss, Annie hadn't even noticed how quickly time flew by with him.
"I have work in the morning." he said and put his feet on the floor.
Annie sat on her knees. "But...you weren't here for that long. It's been five days since the last time I saw you..." she whined.
"I know, Annie, but..."
She stood out of the bed and in front of him.
"Please don't go. Just ten or fifteen more minutes. That's all."
"Annie."

Annie knew he was only about to argue with her once she saw him stand up.

Before he could say his next words, Annie began unbuttoning her dress.

"What're you doing...?" Daniel asked and continued watching her fingers.
The dress slipped off of her melanated frame and onto the floor.
Daniel's eyes widened as his heart began to race.
Annie quickly pressed their lips together.

Daniel didn't even have the chance to close his eyes, he was still trying to stare while he maneuvered his lips with hers.

She looked up at him and held his face in her hands.

"I'm ready now." she stated.
He chuckled nervously. "Uh...You said marriage...?" He pulled her hands off of his face.
"I changed my mind."
He stared at her body again.
"You don't want to?" Annie frowned.
"No, I definitely want to."
"Then come on." She put her hands on his chest and stood closer.

Daniel was feeling a world of emotions. He remembered he needed to go to bed, he had work at 5am. But then he looked at her.
He remembered how she said they should wait. But then he looked at her.

"Your parents?" he asked.
"We'll be quiet. Your truck's in the back." Annie shrugged.
Daniel began thinking again with the use of his brain...and his penis. He was torn.

"You don't want to, it's fine." Annie backed away and held herself in her arms.

She thought that Lucy was right. It doesn't work on all men.

It does, however, work on Daniel.

He grabbed her arm and pulled her back into him where the two clashed lips.
Daniel lifted his girlfriend to place her on the bed.

"FIRE HER! NOW!" Nancy shouted.
Diana didn't argue. She just stood there.
Stephen was confused.

"I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF HER DISRESPECT IN THIS HOUSE! YOU FIRE HER RIGHT NOW!"
"What happened? I was gone for just six hours." Stephen groaned.
"She threatened me!" Nancy yelled.
"Diana?" Stephen called.
"She told me that my son deserved to be murdered." Diana replied calmly.
"EXCUSE ME?!" Stephen shouted.
"I did not say that. I told her that he went out in the middle of the night so you couldn't be surprised that he-..."
Nancy was shut up when an open palm swung into her face.

She stared in shock at her husband.
"Shut your mouth. Now." he commanded.

Diana didn't speak but she felt relieved that Stephen could do something she'd always wanted to.

"Stephen..." Nancy called with tears.
"You apologize and you leave my house." Stephen commanded.
Both women stared wide eyed at the mayor.

"Wh-..." Nancy scoffed and looked back and forth between the two.
Diana just looked at Stephen.
Stephen stared at Nancy.
"What...What do you mean...leave your house?" Nancy asked.
"You pack your shit! And you get the fuck out of my house."
Nancy's jaw began quivering.
"NOW!" Stephen shouted.
Nancy hurried off and upstairs.

Diana wrapped her arms around Stephen once she heard the bedroom door shut.

He was shocked since he'd been the one to initiate their contact for the last few years. But he of course hugged her back.
"I'm sorry, sweetheart." he stated. "He didn't deserve it."

Diana tried her hardest to hold in her tears.

"Again..." Daniel asked while he kissed his girlfriend's face.
Annie laughed underneath him. "My family could be back any minute now." She kissed his lips.

The two still laid in Annie's bed, naked, under her blankets.

Daniel's kisses trailed down Annie's neck all the way to her bare chest.
"Your skin is so soft..." he muttered through the struggle to release his lips.
All Annie could think about was how she'd just lost her virginity. She was almost in a daze. Especially because she did it in her parents' house.

Daniel lifted his face to hers. "How'd I do?" he smiled.
Annie turned away, giggling shyly.
"Come on, tell me." he insisted and laid next to her.
"You did good..."
"I could tell." Daniel said and laid on his back with his arm under his head.
"What do you mean you could tell?" Annie asked and sat up.
He shrugged. "I just mean...that's the first time I've seen your back arch."
Annie gasped. Daniel laughed. She smacked his shoulder gently.
"You're also noisy."
"DANIEL!" Annie shouted.
"YOU ASKED!" he laughed.

Annie laid back down and turned away from him.
Daniel draped his arm over his girlfriend to spoon and kiss onto her shoulder.
"It's easy to embarrass you." he stated.
"No, it's not..." she lied.
"You shouldn't be embarrassed. All that stuff is what I wanted to happen. If you wouldn't have done it then I would have been embarrassed." he snickered.
She turned around and looked at him. He kissed her forehead.

"Why'd you decide you wanted to do that today?" Daniel asked.
Annie looked at his chest while she ran her finger over it.
"I'm not upset about it. At all. I am-...I have never been happier actually. I'm trying really hard to fake being calm, but...God, you're even pretty when you're moaning."
"DANIEL!"
"WHAT?!"
Annie scoffed.
"The point is, I'm not mad but you promised me you'd wait until marriage. It's not even a holiday. Why today?"
Annie's hand pressed lightly against Daniel's chest and she finally looked at him.
"I just...I didn't want you to leave again. I wanted more time with you. It's been five days. I almost went a week without you when for the past few months I've seen you every day. I've missed you so much and it's sad to not see the people you love anymore. Besides my mama and daddy...you're all I got."

Daniel took Annie's hand off of his chest and kissed it sweetly.
He laughed a little.
"What is it?" Annie wondered.
"You don't want me working so much because you love me."
Annie didn't respond.
"But I work so much because I love you." he added.

The two laid there.
