“You think there are still other candidates out there?” Sasuke asked as we jumped from branch to branch, well, they jumped while I rode. Paws had not trouble keeping up with them,
“Oh yea, just think about it, what do you think is the best way to gather scrolls in an area as large as this? To go searching through the forest for them?” Kabuto asked,
“Uh, no?” Sakura’s answer was more of a question, that fact made me smirk,
“No.” I confirmed,
“Right, you wait for them to come to you.” Kabuto explained, “The tower at the centre of the forest is the goal right? So on the last day of the exam that area would be crawling with candidates rushing to hand in their scrolls.”
“Ah, very smart Kabuto. We wait for a team to come along and we jump them, stealing their scroll.” I grinned, “This is going to be interesting.” I muttered,
“The only problem is, you’re not going to be the only ones thinking this. Every other team who is lacking a scroll will be lying and waiting, just like you.” Kabuto explained with a smile,
“Whatever! The more the merrier I say! We’ll take ‘em all down! Wouldn’t want this to be too easy, that wouldn’t be any fun. Ok, so we grab their scrolls, keep those losers from grabbing ours and bingo! We’ve past the second exam!” Naruto exclaimed, I rolled my eyes at his cocky behaviour,
“I don’t think it’s gonna be that easy Naruto.” I sighed,
“Well, Ayame’s right. It’s actually not gonna be that easy.”
“Well what else is wrong?” Sakura asked,
“There are bound to be some collectors around.” Collectors? I thought confused,
“Collectors? What are they?” Sakura asked, pretty much voicing my thoughts,
“Even when you think your home safe you can’t let your guard down for a second. This kind of exam always brings them out, collectors; they gather various sets of scrolls to use for different things. For example, to bribe their way out of sticky situations, to provide a team from their own village with a scroll their lacking, some keep them to stop candidates from rival villages from passing. Although some steal for their own profit,” selfish “They’ll hold onto them to use against the stronger teams down the line. I can almost guarantee that they’ll be there, they are bad news. The closer you get, the more likely you’ll run into them.” I sighed, great, more trouble!
“I see, and I think I’m starting to understand why you brought us with you. It’s because your frightened aren’t you?” Sasuke asked with a smirk,
“Ha, you bet I am.” Kabuto answered simply. I sighed as Kabuto jumped ahead,
“Faster.” I ordered Paws,
“Arf!” She barked and jumped ahead.

“It’s about time! Bring it on!” Naruto yelled while punching the air, my breath hitched as something moved behind me,
