“What?!” Sakura exclaimed,
“I wonder if he’s even trying back there.” Pakuun muttered, I bit my lip, No, he’s got a plan. I’m sure of it.
“No… don’t tell me-“ Sakura started,
“Shikamaru will be just fine.” Naruto interrupted,
“Don’t tell me that he just ran away!” I flailed around in Naruto arms; he just ignored me though,
“Look! I said he’d be ok and I meant it!”
“How do you know?!”
“Because he’s Shika! He’s lazy and doesn’t try hard at anything but when he says he’ll do something he does it!” I exclaimed, Sakura gave me a doubtful look,
“Pick up the pace slackers!” Pakuun ordered,
“IF NARUTO PUT ME DOWN THEN MAYBE WE’D BE ABLE TO MOVE FASTER!!” I yelled as I continued to struggle,
“Fine!” Naruto landed on a branch and took me off his shoulder,
“Thank you! Now let’s go!” I then bounded off to join everyone else,
“H-Hey! Wait up!” Naruto called as he joined us.

“I sense that Sasuke has stopped moving,” So he’s caught up to them, figures. “But he’s still a long way ahead of us.” Pakuun informed, “Did I just smell what I think I smelled?” Pakuun exclaimed, I turned to him in alarm. He stopped jumping and we all did the same,
“Huh? What is it? What’s wrong?!” Naruto asked,
“What is it? You smell some kind of trouble?” Sakura added,
“Strange I never noticed it before.” I tensed, “Sakura, did you know that you use the same shampoo as I do?” Sakura turned as white as a ghost and I anime fell. Pakuun sniffed, “Minty rainforest mist right?” He asked, “With extra body?”
“What?! Are you kidding me!?” Naruto exclaimed,
“But I wonder why my coat looks so much glossier than yours.” Pakuun continued, completely ignoring Naruto,
“Knock it off will you! This is no time to be talking about hair products!” I patted Sakura on the back with a sheepish grin as she became overwhelmed in depression,
“Sorry, just making an observation.” Pakuun explained,
“I smell like a dog, I smell like a dog, I smell like a dog.” Sakura chanted,
“W-Well, I didn’t notice anything!” I tried, “Don’t worry Sakura, when we get back I’ll take you shopping and buy you some shampoo that Kakashi doesn’t use.” None-the-less she continued chanting and jumped off looking rather… unhinged…
“Gah! Look what you’ve done! Sakura! Come back!” Naruto called,
“Wait up!” I exclaimed as I jumped after them,
“What are you doing?! You won’t get very far without me!” Pakuun yelled.
