Synthia's P.O.V
Never in a million years did I imagine that I would be in Auradon with my best friends. It was much more beautiful than I thought it was, and I knew that I wanted to stay in Auradon instead of going back to the Isle. Much to my surprise, I found myself developing feelings for, not one of the princes, but one of the princesses: Audrey. She was everything I wanted to be and more, and she was quite beautiful in every way. I had never thought about my sexuality before, mostly because I had never gone out with anyone on the Isle. On my first night in Auradon, I dreamt about Audrey, and what I could do to make her mine. I learned the next morning that while I was asleep, Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay had tried and failed to steal Fairy Godmother's wand from the museum where it was kept. "Why didn't you just use your mother's spellbook?" I asked Mal. "Pfft. Too easy," Mal said. "Well, I'm going to go to class. See you around," I said, having already gotten dressed for the day in my outfit of choice.
I turned and left the dorm without another word, making my way to my first class, which was chemistry. On my way there, I bumped into someone by accident, knocking me off-balance. "Whoops! Sorry about that. Are you okay?" The person I bumped into asked, grabbing my arm to help keep me from falling. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you," I said. "Hey, don't I know you?" She asked. "I -" I began, but she cut me off. "Oh, that's right! You're one of the kids from the Isle, right? I don't think that I've formally introduced myself. I'm Audrey Rose," she said, curtsying to me. "I'm Synthia Sanderson," I said, returning the gesture. "Oh, you're Sarah Sanderson's daughter, right?" She asked. "Yeah. I've always been a bit scared of my Aunt Winnie, but she can't help who she is," I said. "Yeah, I can see why you would be scared of her. Do you want some help getting to your classes?" She asked. "Yeah. Can you tell me how to get to chemistry?" I asked her. "How about I show you? Chemistry is my first class of the day," she said. "No way! So is mine!" I said. "What a coincidence," Audrey said. "Yeah," I said simply.

It's pretty plain to see that Synthia Sanderson takes after her mother in the beauty department. She made me question if I was going out with the right person, for some reason. She also inherited her mother's energy, and I found it... refreshing. During chemistry, we decided to sit together, and we decided to talk on the way to our next class. "You know, I love Ben, but sometimes he's really busy and doesn't have the time to hang out with me these days. I get it, don't get me wrong. I mean, he's going to be crowned king in a few days, so he's got a lot to do. Still, he's had to cancel a lot of our dates because something else came up," I said. "I've never dated anyone, so I personally don't know what to say," she said. "You don't need to say anything. It sort of comes with dating the future king," I replied. "It's nice to have someone to talk to about this sort of thing," she said. "Yeah, it is. All my friends ever want to hear about is how it feels to be dating the soon-to-be king of Auradon. They're not interested in the difficult parts," I said. "Well, just between the two of us, if I were dating you, I would make your happiness my top priority," she said, which took me by surprise. "You say that like you want that to happen," I said. "So what if I do? It's not like you'd have me anyway," she said a bit defensively. "I never said that, Syn. I can call you Syn, right?" I asked. "Of course," she replied. "If I become single again, I'll keep you in mind for potential people to go out with," I said. "Cool. Still, it's nice being friends with you," she said with a smile, which I returned.

I was amazed by how much I had in common with Audrey. For one thing, we both enjoyed talking about hot guys. She also liked to talk about fashion, and she introduced me to InstaRoyal, one of the social media platforms available in Auradon. She helped me create my own account, and I spent my free period checking out all of the fun things I could do on InstaRoyal. After that, I went to my Goodness class, which was a new class added for me and my friends from the Isle. With each question that Fairy Godmother asked, I raised my hand to answer, and even though Mal ended up answering all of the questions, I still took notes on the answers for future reference. In the girls dorm, Mal informed Evie and me of her plan to bake some cookies laced with a love potion to give to Ben. Her reasoning was that since Ben's girlfriend would be up front near him, it would be the perfect way to get the wand. "I don't want any part of this," I said, earning me a glare from Mal. "We need your help. You have the most experience with making potions, even if none of them actually did anything, since there's no magic on the Isle," she said, and I let out a long, deep sigh. "Fine, but only if I can give one of the cookies to Audrey," I said. "Deal," Mal said, and we left for the kitchen to start assessing what we would need to bake the cookies.
