Synthia's P.O.V

When Maleficent appeared in the room, I quickly joined Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay to protect Auradon from her. Mal gave Fairy Godmother her wand back, and I already knew that something was about to happen, and it wasn't going to be good. "Bippidy boppidy -" Fairy Godmother said. "- boo," Maleficent finished, and everyone in the room apart from herself, Mal, Evie, Carlos, Jay and myself were frozen in place. Maleficent snatched the wand from Fairy Godmother, then made her way over to Ben. "Shame, really. He was quite good looking," Maleficent said, tilting Ben's crown at a comical angle. "Leave him alone!" Mal yelled at her mother. "Hmm... what to do first... I know! Let's start with this!" Maleficent said, summoning the Beast head ring that Ben had given to Mal. "Perfect fit!" Maleficent cried when the ring landed on the wand and slid down to her hand. "Mother, I'm not you!" Mal said. "Of course not! I've had years and years and... years practice being evil. You'll get there," Maleficent said. "No, I will not! And I really wish you hadn't gotten there yourself," Mal replied with a bit of sadness in her voice. "And now I command, wand to my hand!" Mal said, holding out her hand. Shockingly, the wand was taken from Maleficent, ending up in Mal's hand instead. "You will regret this!" Maleficent said, transforming into a large purple dragon. Mal threw the wand to me as we all scattered away from Maleficent. I threw the wand to Evie, who threw it to Jay, who threw it to Carlos, who threw it back to Mal, and the five of us stood bravely in front of Maleficent.

"The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one," Mal said as Maleficent tried to break Mal's will. "The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one," Mal said again, with more conviction than the first time, but still nothing happened. "The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one!" Mal said a third time, and with a puff of smoke, Maleficent transformed into a small lizard, and everyone was unfrozen. I ran to Audrey and embraced her tightly, not wanting to let go.

On Halloween, I decided to dress up as my mother.

When I met up with Audrey, I found that she had decided to dress up as a more modern witch. "Ah, and what do I see with mine eyes, but another witch!" I said in my best impression of my mother, making Audrey jump. "Oh, jeez! Synthia, you scared me. I thought you were actually your mother for a moment there. Your impression of her is spot on. I love the costume, too," she said. "Yeah. I asked Evie if she could make me a dress just like the one my mother wears, and this is the end result," I said, doing a quick twirl to show off the dress from every angle. "Well, it looks great," Audrey said. "I was hoping you'd like it," I replied with a smile. Audrey put her arm around my shoulders, and we went to the harbor to take in the view. "The view is beautiful here," I said. "It's not as beautiful as the view that I have right now," Audrey said, and I turned toward her to find her looking at me. "Ah, my view just got a lot better," I said with a smile.

That evening, Audrey and I went to the annual costume party at Beast Castle, where I decided to enter the costume contest just for the fun of it. Everyone had such elaborate costumes, to the point that I actually mistook Evie's boyfriend Doug for Darth Vader. I was fairly confident that I wouldn't win, considering most of the people there had a lot of different options for what they could do for their costumes. I came across Mal and Evie talking, both of them dressed in costumes that, according to them, were inspired by the outfits that my mother and her sisters wore.

I told them that I had entered the costume contest, and they wished me luck. The way that it worked was that everyone who was participating in the contest would all stand on a stage, side by side, and the other attendees would vote on whose costume was the best. I stood in between two of my classmates that I had never met before, and we all waited until everyone else had voted, then King Beast announced who won. "Ahem. Can everyone hear me?" He asked into the microphone, and the crowd signaled that they could hear him. "Excellent. The winner of this year's Halloween costume contest is..." he said, trailing off as he opened the envelope with the name of the winner. "Synthia Sanderson," he said once he had read the name in the envelope. I recieved a black and orange tiara and a sash for winning the contest. Audrey gave me a hug, and then so did Mal and Evie. The rest of the night was spent dancing and socializing.

So... I ran out of ideas for this chapter. I edited the second picture used in this chapter (the one of Mal's and Evie's Halloween costumes) from the original, which I included below.

And now for a quote: "They oughta make the wives ride with them in NASCAR. That'd be something. I can hear 'em in there now bitchin'. 'You don't know where the hell you're goin', do ya? We have been goin' in circles for two hours out here.'" - Larry the Cable Guy. Until next time!
