The unknown driver

chapter twenty-two

Amelias POV

I already went on a date with Charles but it wasn't a date date. 
Finally he asked me out. And I was afraid that he wouldn't want to talk to me anymore after last night but I guess he enjoyed it too.
I get ready and wear a skirt with long sleeves with flowers on it. It's not too much but also not too little. It shows off my figure perfectly and is very comfy.
On my face I put on some makeup but not too much.
It knocks.

"Come in Charles", I shout still standing in the bathroom fixing my hair.
"How do you always know that it's me?", he says after I hear the door close.
"I don't know. I just feel it I guess."
"You feel it?"
"Yes", I say walking out of the bathroom laughing.
He looks at me for quite a few seconds and says: "You look beautiful Amelia. The dress suits you very well", while handing me some flowers.
There are tulips of almost every colour. White, red, blue, every single one. 
"Thank you", I say and blush a little. I take out a vase fill it with water and put the flowers inside.
They look really good and match with my apartment since everything is white and baby blue.
"Are you ready? Can we leave for our date?", he says with a smile appearing on his face.
"Yes. Let's go", I say. He holds out his hand and I take it. He plants a small kiss on my hand and we head to his car.
Have I already mentioned that I love his car?
I love driving with it. I mean, I never thought I would be driving around with a ferrari car sometime in my life. And yet here I am. Driving around with the boy I like in his expensive ferrari. 
I might sound like a gold digger but I'm not. I really like him.
"Put this on", he says handing me a blindfold while we drive.
"Why?", I ask as I take it from him.
"You will see trust me.", he says.
"Okay if you say so. I trust you Charles." I take the blindfold from him and put it on. 
I have no clue where we're driving.

Charles POV

"Can I take it off now?", she asks.
"Wait. Only a few more steps.", I say holding her hands and guiding her to our date. I tried to do something special. So why don't take her to my favorite place.
"Okay you can take it off", I say and help her take it off.

Amelia POV

"Wow Charles", but I'm speechless.
In front of me there's a blanket on the floor and next to it some candles. There is a basket on top of it. Behind the scene you can see whole Monaco. You can see the sea and everything seems so far but so near at the same time. The boats look like little spots in the distance and Monaco shines in all it's glory.
"Wanna eat?", he asks.
I nod and head to the blanket on the ground still not taking my eyes of the beautiful view in front of me.
"So you like it?", he asks laughing.
"Oh sorry I wasn't listening. I'm a little overwhelmed", I say now laughing too.
"The view is amazing isn't it? I found it a few years ago and never told anyone of it. I often come up here to clear my mind". He turns his head and starts looking at Monaco too.
"But why did you take me up here and not anyone else?", I ask.
"Because I have this feeling that it's the right thing to do". He turns his head smiling at me.
"Let's eat now come on".
He opens the basket and I see it's full of food. Well particularly sushi.
"You got us sushi?"
"Of course. I love sushi and I know you do too.", he says handing me some of the sushi.
"You still know that?"
I told him once when I just met him. We were driving in his car and he asked me what I like to eat. I told him I love sushi and he told me that he loves it too. But I would've never thought that he remembers that. It was such a short moment.
"Why wouldn't I?", he asks starting to eat.
"I don't know it's just such a long time ago. I never thought you would remember that."
"Well, I'm full of surprises then". A big smile forms on his face. I can feel my face heating up a little and take a bite of the sushi too.
"God I love this stuff", I say eating one peace after another.
He starts laughing and soon I do too.
We have a lot of fun. Charles is one of the sweetest people I met. He's always so caring and remembers even the little things.
When the sushis gone whe take a seat closer to the edge and start watching the sun go under.
It's such a special moment. I know watching a sunset with the guy you like wit an amazing view sounds like a cliché but it doesn't feel like that at all.
Over all we're just two single souls that found eachother. There is nothing about Charles I don't like.
