Maia kicked off her shoes, flicking on the lights in her apartment. Stripping out of her work attire as she let her mind wander, what could possibly be bothering Lucky, she knew she was hiding something— Maia was pissed at the idea of the woman keeping secrets, but maybe it was for a good reason, there had to be some reasoning behind it. Not wanting to deal with the emotions alone Maia decided to call up Raquel and Angie, inviting them over for a girls night, which they quickly abided too.

Maia took a quick shower, slipping on a big comfy T-shirt not bothering to put on any pants. She put her hair into a more comfortable bun on top her head, it resembled a pineapple how her curls fell in the top knot. As if on time, a knock came from her door just after she finished lotioning her body, answering the door— her two eager friends stood, hard liquor and snacks in hand. Maia stepped aside allowing them to come in, leaving their shoes at the doors before they all piled into the living room.

"We came prepared" Raquel smiled, waving a blunt in Maias face. Lighting it, the smoke filling the air quickly. Angie grabbed glasses from the cabinets mixing her concoction of juice and alcohol before handing them to the girls. "What's this" Maia asked sniffing the contents in the cup, her face cringing. "Just drink it" Angie huffed out taking a seat on the end of the L shaped couch. Not caring Maia took a sip, clearing her throat after as the liquid burned in her chest.

"Okay so what's tea" Raquel asked, resting her head in Maias lap while she passed her the blunt. Maia inhaled the contents as she gathered the words in her head. "I think Lucky is hiding something from me" she blurted out quickly, she bit at the inside of her lip waiting for her friends to join in. "Like what?" Angie questioned, confusion written on her face. Raquel nodded her head ushering for Maia to continue— they had no idea what she was speaking about, and Maia sucked at getting to the point.

Maia held smoke in her mouth passing to Angie, prolonging what she needed to say— she wasn't even sure of it herself. She cleared her throat, "well that I do not know.... It's just a feeling" Raquel sighed sitting up from her best friends lap, her back against the chair— "Maia, are you seriously flipping out over a feeling"

"Well I mean based on what she's been through it's not soo odd Rock" Angie chimed in, placing a hand on Maia's shoulder to comfort her. "Maia you can't let your past take lead in how your relationships go now.... Just because your ex was a asshole doesn't mean Lucky is too, give her more credit" Raquel spoke truthfully, when it came to her best friend she never held back— something Maia appreciated most times.

Maia blinked her eyes quickly a few times, taking in what Raquel just said to her. "Rock you could've delivered that a bit softer, look at her" Angie spoke, her face concerned, pointing at Maia who looked as if she was day dreaming. "Hey! You snap out of it" Raquel snapped her fingers in Maias face, drawing her attention.

"Huh" Maia stammered. "We lost you there for a second" Raquel giggled hitting Maia on the shoulder. Maia shook her head, Angie got up from her seat grabbing shot glasses from the cupboard, "girl you need a shot" Angie passed Maia the over filled shot glass, without a second thought she threw the shot back not caring to ask what it was.

For the next hour our so the once full bottle of tequila was on its last sip. Maia laid sprawled on the rug that covered her living room floor, letting out a groan catching the attention of the two other girls who laid on the couch, watching a movie of Raquel's choice. "What now" Raquel sighed, pausing the movie. Maia sat up on the floor turning to face the two, her lips formed into a frown, her eyes falling low. "Don't tell me you're like sad drunk right now ?" Angie asked her face cringing at the thought of Maia bursting into tears over a few shots.

Maia took a deep breath, exhaling sharply before she spoke, " I still don't know what to do"

"Call her" Raquel deadpanned, her eyes rolling in her head.
