Maia'a eyes fluttered open as her body stretched out across the sofa, her eyes trailed over to where the sun peeked through, as if it were a spotlight— Lucky's eyelashes glistened revealing their true chestnut color. Her brows and hair did the same, Maia continued to watch the woman sleep in awe as she took in every single feature that was highlighted by the sun.

She and Lucky had fell asleep on her couch after a night of tears, weed, and sex.

Lucky was still deep in sleep, her lips parted open as her chest rose up and down softly. Maia took in the girl's appearance. Aside from her hard exterior Lucky was a beautiful woman with prominent features, and Maia couldn't help but to imagine what the woman would look like if she let her hair grow out and wore a dress.

She giggled to herself lightly as the image popped in her head, who could imagine this woman who does vicious things in a dress.

She didn't want to wake the woman who so desperately needed as much sleep as she can get, according to the bags that began to form around her face. Maia knew as soon as Lucky woke she would be up and out to find whoever had her father. The idea of Lucky being captured now filled Maias mind and she couldn't help but to feel her chest tighten a little.

She was falling too hard for this woman and it had only been about 2 months since they had crossed each others paths. She wondered if this might've been all too much too fast, could she really handle what came with dating a mafia boss ? The constant fear ? And oh to think what Lucky's mother must have been feeling after hearing her husband had been captured.

Maia let the troubled thoughts rattle her brain as she laid back staring up at the ceiling.

A few minutes passed before Lucky was now shifting in her sleep, Maia peered over to her knowing she would soon wake up. Lucky's eyes opened, still a little puffy from last night and it wasn't gonna get any better since she rubbed them roughly as she attempted to wake herself up.

Maia smiled softly at Lucky who was finding it hard to get up .

"What time is it?" Lucky asked her voice raspy, Maias heart rate sped up a little at the sound of it. She found it sexy and quickly thought of what it would sound like if she said her name.

Lucky cleared her throat, waiting for Maia to answer her question. Snapping out of her thoughts Maia giggled as she reached for her phone that laid on the floor next to the couch plugged in.

"It's 7:42" Maia answered locking her phone putting it on the coffee table in front the couch before sitting up to stretch her body again.

Lucky stood up quickly from the couch raising her arms over her head, letting out a squeal as her bones popped as she stretched.

"Damn!" Maia exclaimed, causing both of the girls to laugh.

"I gotta go handle some things today baby" Lucky spoke turning to face Maia who still sat on the couch.

"I understand, I only wish I could stay with you forever" Maia pouted. "But I'll live, I have to be at work a little later today"

"I promise you'll see me soon" Lucky placed a kiss on Maias forehead.

Lucky quickly threw back on her clothes and left in minutes leaving Maia by herself in her apartment. Maia wish she had stayed so they could've spent the morning together. Mostly because she just wanted to know Lucky was safe, with her occupation it was almost hard to keep the hope. But she understood Lucky's situation, well as much as she could understand a rival gang kidnapping her girlfriends dad because her girlfriends dad wants her girlfriend to now be the boss of his gang. It was a lot to take in and Maia was still trying to wrap her head around certain things Lucky said to her.
