"Sooo did you decide on what you're going to wear tonight?" The girls best friend question echoed through the phone.

"Uhmm not really...nope" Maia looked into the screen slightly frowning in defeat.

It had been a month since She walked out on her ex; a month that she had finally been free beyond the holds of the four walls that surrounded her in depression, and for most of the month Raquel was determined to never let the party stop; always keeping Maia busy and outside. She was determined to return the girl back to "The old Maia", the Maia she once was, before tucking herself away under a single person for almost a year.

Maia honestly wanted the same deep down, but She could barely recollect the girl she was the year before She met her. It was normally Maia to be the one who would run to her best friend with plans after plans, and for her to be the one to just follow through. Now the shoe was on the other foot.

"Get it together Maia, I plan to be outside your house in 20 minutes, stop acting like you don't know how to put that shit on" Raquel jokingly yelled at Maia through the screen snapping her back to reality.

"But I'm being honest when I say I have nothing to wear Rock" The girl pouted, her brows furrowed in frustration.

"How come ? What happened to that cute little set you got from that one boutique?" she questioned glancing at the phone momentarily, that was always balanced on the dashboard of her car. Maia hated that her best friend was the type of person who talked on the phone while driving, so of course she had to be the one who opted into getting a stand for her phone so she wasn't constantly holding it.

"If we're thinking about the same set, then sadly I think that's one of the things that got left at her place" Maia replied a little annoyed remembering how little time she had to pack her things that day.

"Mmm okay so check that off I guess... it was ugly anyways" Raquel joked when she sensed the indignation under her best friends voice, "well what about something calm then I suppose" she suggested, changing the subject but still fixated on what Maia was going to wear.

"Like what ?" Maia whined throwing her head back in frustration while taking a seat in front of the phone that was snug in a phone holder on her vanity. glancing back at the bed that was covered in piles of clothes, Maia sighed reminiscing on the time she had just spent trying on literally everything in her closet.

The girl always fell short when it came to having to get ready last minute. She absolutely hated being rushed, giving her no time to properly plan a outfit. Though there were clothes all around the room, none of them really called out to her in that moment. Maia sat there, hair and make up done but she still had completely no idea of what she wanted to wear, and she was so close to telling Raquel that she should just go without her.

"Oooo how about that dress you just ordered, the black one !!" Raquel  recalled while flashing a toothy grin at the girl who filled the rectangular screen on her phone.

Maia's brows scrunched together, attempting to remember the dress her best friend was trying to remind her that she supposedly owned. It had taken the girl a minute trying to remember the dress she spoke of, until it hit her, her eyes lighting up with excitement. Without saying a word Maia got up from the seat in front of her phone and rushed to the closet to find the exact dress.

"You better be looking for that damn dress" Rock yelled at Maia through the phone, Maia sucked her teeth in response.

"Ohhh do you mean this dress" Maia smirked while stepping back into view wearing the dress her best friend had just described.

"Fuck. It looks even hotter on your body girl!! YES. A MILLION TIMES YESS!" she exclaimed while trying to keep her eyes on the road but still trying to steal looks at her phone.
