The breeze was as gentle as a feather upon skin.
The clouds above were whispy, a ghost to weakly cover the bright moon above.

Sun long set even before the long journey taken, a point of contention to give way to held breath — the darkened street a cloak shared between the only two figures currently occupying the street.

Most everything was still aside from the rustling leaves and shifting blades of grass clinging to life, a resting place for where crickets would once sing their songs of the night.
The windows were pale, painted with tones of cold grays shut out by darked out curtains.
Most everthing was still aside from the ever shifting reflections on chromed, matte cars, glass screens to doors, and the thin metal bars of bikes left out and abandoned on their sides...or propped against respective buildings.

Old toys without children.
Run down yards without play.

The scene looked to be a sight for pity; used, tattered, worn to last chances.
Yet no sympathy came for the thought that melted minds to peace.

Silence was deafening. A song unheard. Melody toned to simplicity.

Steps were even, a grasp maintained even when the destination came to view.

The dull hued coat was wrapped still around the small frame of the female, a loose hug of warm fabric helping to obscure her with the added help of the blanket draped over the male's shoulder.
The raven haired muscisian kept her close, her face tucked up by his neck. A support needed in his eyes.
The small figure was adjusted — limp in the male's arms and covered more-so for reassurance.

His grasp, lingering on a protective source of comfort, tightens as if she were to be taken as a door in the distance opens.

Eyes were narrowed.

The redhead took no moment to garner thoughts — sharp eyes glancing towards the taller male by his side. A breath is drawn.
"Go ahead. I'll meet you there shortly." He says and with a nod the silent companion turns, departing towards the shadows with a calm air.

A lean male was seen making his way down the steps, sauntering almost down the driveway — a subtle scene irking the intellectual for more reasons than one.
Dusty hair was thin, swept to the side and dyed, patches covering that of worn down leather.

"Busy night?" His attempt to spark conversation was met with a dull hum.

"Business."
Was the redhead's cooled lie.
"My line of work sees no difficulty. What is done, is done when needed. No sooner. No later. May I inquire as to why you seem to have taken the liberty in waiting up for my presence so late?"

The simple lacky shakes his head, whispers of muscle twitching under a tattered jacket.
"Work is work...my friend. I come on Saika's behalf."

'''Friend?'" A scoff was pushed aside.

"Listen, I don't mean to...seem as if I'm spyin'- you still have, and have had your privacy, just as you asked for." The lacky replies, voice husky.
"I simply wanted to inform you on a small hiccup."

The intellectual raises a brow, coaxing the false hero to go on and the male takes a moment to dust off leather sleeves.

"That girl we've been watching. We were unable to grab her earlier- she left her place of work in a hurry and we were unable to follow." His voice was cool, irking. "We lost her then, but Saika is certain we can track her down. Bring her in once she returns to her school's dorm."
