Face to face meetings were very rare for us women footballers at the moment, but that was only because we had all this prep for the Euro's ahead of us which needed to be done.

But with the second of our three warm up matches we were facing The Netherlands tonight, and to say I was a shitty mix of nervousness and excitement was an understatement.

I mean they were the winners of the last Euro's, but I had to have faith that we would win, and I wanted that win over Viv right now.

And that team had lost one of their biggest assets in the form of Sarina over the previous summer and we had basically stolen her. And they were still in some sort of transition period, and from what i heard, he didn't have the passion and drive that Sarina did.

"He's being stupid." I told the girls as I sat with them all, my legs drew up to my chest as they were spread while I tied my shoes.

"What?" Alex asked me her brows furrowing as I spoke.

"Parsons." I told Alex and Chloe with a nod.

"What's he done?" Jill asked me as she sat with us, she wasn't starting but she was in some sliders.

"He's just being a tad bit stupid, actually, quite a lot bit stupid." I told the girls with a shrug. It was true.

He was literally keeping out some of his best players right now, did he think we were easy, cos we weren't.

"He's literally said that he's letting his new players play tonight in the game to let them get some experience." I told the girls my eyebrows furrowing.

"We aren't some warm up play for those players, and he's gonna get that from us tonight? Yeah?" I asked the girls as the girls had all come around us as I spoke to the group.

"No!" The girls all cheered back with him.

"We're on a streak at the moment, we aren't gonna let The Netherlands beat us, we aren't those players that we were last time we faced each other!" I told the girls, this was the time I was best for a pep talk.

"Don't take out your best players, cos he's not gonna know what hit him, Parson's is gonna have a rude awakening from us tonight." I told the girls with a massive smile.

"Come on! Let's go out there!" Leah cheered for us, she just let me take this over while we were in here, as she would have a mini one on the pitch just before the game.

Going out for the start of the game was odd, but starting it off both team were going for it, we were gonna give those new players a shock from our skills, and it was all thanks to Sarina.

Sadly it was the 21st minute when any action came about, and it was from the Dutch team as they slotted the ball in the back of the net just past Mary who couldn't stop it.
