"Shin Ryujin, will you be my fake fiance?"
Ryujin couldn't remember how she got in this situation. She just had to agree to Lia's plan to pretend to be a couple to get a discount at a resort.
Ryujin wasn't wealthy or anything, college tuition is pretty high along with other expenses, but if Lia asked, she would have lent her some money. Ryujin would have given it to her in a heartbeat, along with heart.
But Lia had always been a frugal person. So when she heard about the resort that offered a discount for couples, she knew she had to find a way to get the discount.
Lia had just gone through a break-up and was in need of a vacation.
So when Lia asked Ryujin to be part of her scheme, she said yes.
Of course she would.
She could finally be with Lia, although it's a sham. Her mind dismisses that this is a bad idea. The thought of being with the girl she's been miserably in love with for years.
"Ryujin.."
Ever since she heard Lia singing to a Taylor Swift song at freshman the acquaintance party, she was enchanted, but Lia was always in love with someone else.
"Hey Ryujinie!"
Ryujin's intrusive thoughts were blown away by the sound of Lia's voice calling her with a nickname Lia gave her.
"Oh hey, sorry, thought I was dreaming. what were you saying again?"
Lia stared at her for a second, looking serious, then smiled.
"We're almost at the resort."
They took a bus, because neither of them owned a car, and taking a cab that far would be expensive.
"Anyway, as I was saying. In case someone from the hotel staff asks us, we should have a solid way of telling our love story. What should we tell them, when they ask how we fell in love?"
Ryujin closed her eyes for a moment and smiled as the flashbacks started.
"Well, as cliché as it sounds, tell them we fell in love at first sight. We saw each other at a party, I made my way through the crowd just to say hello to you."
"Wait, but that's what really happened between us, we did meet at a party didn't we. Do you have a crush on me Shin Ryujin?" Lia asked with a coy smile.
"W-what...that's crazy. Me? Having a crush on you? HAHA. I'm too focused on my studies to have crushes. Science is my wife." Ryujin looked at the window to try and hide her embarrassment.
"Does that mean I'm your mistress? Lia gave a fake gasp.
"In your dreams Choi Jisu." Ryujin grinned
"Says the one, who thought she was dreaming a while ago."
"What?"
"Nothing, you oblivious idiot." Lia replied almost in a whisper.

They arrived at the resort, and checked in with no problem. They were originally close anyway so it was easy enough to pretend to be a couple. There's a fine line between gals being pals, and girls being gay, and if you don’t have your GL goggles on, you wouldn't see the difference.
They reached their room and Ryujin opened the door for Lia. She walked in and looked around. The room was decorated with rose petals and there was a bottle of champagne chilling in a bucket of ice. Lia turned to Ryujin with a smile.
"Thank you for agreeing to do this."
She whispered as she kissed Ryujin's right cheek.
They spent the first day exploring the resort and enjoying each other's company. They went for long walks on the beach, had lunch at the best restaurant, and even got massages together.
