"Have you tried cutting your hair short?"
"Hmm?" Lia took a peak at her friend’s face who's focusing on braiding her hair.
" I don’t think short hair would suit me..""Your hair is beautiful, and you have a nice face.. I think any hairstyle would suit you."
Ryujin said as she continued to braid Lia's hair, but somehow got conscious with the compliment she threw.
Lia tried her best to fight off the blush creeping up her cheeks. She immediately moved forward when she realized that she was leaning behind Ryujin.
"T-Thanks..""There..all done! What do you think?" Ryujin grinned confidently, proud of her work.
"Oh! This looks good, you're really good at this Ryujinie." Lia says as soon as she steps in front of the mirror. "Could you style my hair all the time?" She flashed a smile, but also couldn't suppress a yawn..
That sleepy yet still dazzling smile always makes Ryujin's heart thump painfully in her chest.
"Sorry, that must've took too long"
"N-No. It's just the way were you touching my hair. It's very comforting. Thanks again."
**
Lia was almost done getting ready when someone knocked. She opened the door to find Ryujin standing there, already dressed in hanbok wearing a sheepish grin.
"Heh..and here I thought I'd find you half naked."
"Well too bad, you were a little late..what took you though? Lia continued with her finishing touches. "There, I'm done..now let's go to the festival, I'm hungry."
"Hmm not quite.." Ryujin took a blue pin from her pocket and placed it on Lia's hair.
"There..now you're perfect. I took a detour to buy that, thought that it would fit you."**
It was sunset, Ryujin and Lia were walking along the beach. They were just in comfortable silence watching the orange sky, listening to the waves and feeling the ocean breeze.
The winds though were starting to get stronger, it was messing up Lia's hair, which irritated her.
Ryujin noticed this and frowned.
She took off her hoodie, and Lia turned at the sudden shift. "Here.." Ryujin offered.
"I can manage it you really don’t ha-"
"Just stay still will you." Ryujin put the jacket over Lia's head and pulled it to fully cover her. She slowed her pace and fixed the hood around Lia's hair, hiding the strands. "There now, you could be Jisungie"
They both broke into laughter, and only when their laughs had faded out did Lia speak. "This is nostalgic... you always finding way to fix my hair."
She sat down in the sand, and Ryujin followed.
"I never thanked you, did I, Ryujin?"
“Hm?” Ryujin raised an eyebrow, unsure of where this was going.
Lia gave a wistful look as she dragged her index finger through the soft sand.
"For agreeing to be my hairstylist on my wedding."Ryujin only nodded, the lump in her throat too large to speak.
"Yeah well, best friend slash maid of honor duties."
