Lia and Ryujin were at their second year at the university, with little to no interaction. Then, it was almost as if fate had ordained their meeting because when Lia almost fainted in the hallway, Ryujin was there to catch her, at the right place at the right time.Instantly, a connection was formed between the two, and they found themselves drawn to one another.
Like the universe pulled all the stops for them to meet, aligning the planets and all the stars.
That would be true if the universe was named: Lia.
Ryujin was popular, charming, and had many admirers, while Lia was a diligent student who preferred to keep to herself.
It all changed one day.
It was a rainy afternoon, and Lia forgot to bring an umbrella. She was about to dash right through the rain until a voice stopped her. She turned around to see Ryujin, standing with an umbrella in her hands.
"Here, take it," she said, smiling and holding out the umbrella to her.
Lia hesitated. She was about to refuse, but Ryujin insisted. "I'm not going home yet, so use it."
The moment Lia looked up at her, Lia felt something stirring inside her. She only knew Ryujin as the popular jock, but they never really talked. Now, she found herself completely enthralled.
"Thanks."
Lia took the umbrella and watched as Ryujin ran back inside.
That day, Lia's heart was filled with a warmth that she had never felt before.
Lia started admiring Ryujin from afar but was too scared to make a move. She knew that Ryujin had many admirers, and the thought of trying to compete with them made her feel overwhelmed.
But Lia was determined to get Ryujin's attention. She knew if she had any chance of getting close to her, she had to come up with a plan.
She familiarized herself with Ryujin's schedule and routes, and one fateful day, when their paths crossed, Lia's plan went into action.
She acted faint, intentionally falling right into Ryujin's slim arms. Ryujin reacted swiftly, catching Lia in an embrace.
"Hey, careful there."
Although it wasn't accidental, Lia could swear it was the most romantic moment in her life.
"I think I just fell for you.. I mean sorry for falling on you."
As the adrenalin died down, embarrassment washed over Lia as she realized what just happened, but Ryujin's gentle smile put her at ease.
"It's alright. I'm glad I caught you. Don't want your pretty face to hit the ground."
She helped her up and walked her back to her dorm, where Ryujin stayed with her.
For hours, they talked, laughed, and shared stories. The more they talked, the more they felt a connection between them. As if they had known each other for years. Lia could see the spark in Ryujin's eyes, and she knew at that moment that her plan had worked.
Lia and Ryujin's friendship developed quickly, and they soon found themselves spending more and more time together. The two had a lot in common, and it was obvious to both of them that they had something special.
People saw the two of them together and were baffled, wondering how these two had fallen for each other so quickly.
One night during a sleepover, Lia and Ryujin got into a heated pillow fight, their laughter ringing through the house.
As they wrestled each other, Lia accidently fell on top of Ryujin.
