“Lia unnie why is our trash bin full of Pepero boxes?”

Visibly startled like a deer caught in headlights, Lia spilled the beans to Yuna about what happened between her and Ryujin.

“…but we only got to kiss once!”

Yuna arched her eyebrow. “Once? As in just one time?” Then why do we have a pile of empty boxes?”

“The thing is…I did want to kiss her again, so I demanded a rematch which we did over and over again, but each time the stick always breaks half way, until I ran out of chocolate.” Lia puffed her cheeks in annoyance.

Yuna facepalmed. She only suggested the Pepero game to Lia to get the ball rolling. Because she knows how much Ryujin is crushing on Lia and vice versa.

“Unnie, you already kissed…why did you have to use the chocolate stick as an excuse to taste Ryujin unnie’s lips once again? What exactly happened after the first kiss?”

“I shoved another Pepero to her mouth.”  Lia sighed.

Yuna laughed at Lia’s deadpan expression.

“Unnie, I can’t believe I’m saying this but…Why don’t you just kiss her?” Yuna patted Lia’s shoulder.

Lia furrowed her brow in confusion. “How though?”

“That’s it. I’m out of here. Both of you are so dense.” Yuna storms out of the room.

**

Ryujin was just chilling on the living room, eating her red bean mochi, when Lia arrived from the convenient store holding a particular green box.

“Ryujinie~ let’s play another game!” Lia smiled brightly.

The younger looked up to meet the older’s gaze. “Again? Aren’t you getting tired of this game?” She continued munching on her snack. “Besides I’m already eating something.”

“What’s that?” The older got curious.

“Red Bean Mochi.”

An idea popped in Lia’s head.

“Then it’s perfect! They ran out of chocolate Pepero, all they had left is Matcha flavoured.” Lia held out the box

“What’s so perfect about that?” It was the younger’s turn to get curious.

“My dear Ryujinie~ didn’t you know, Matcha and Red Bean are a perfect combination…you could say, they’re a matcha made in heaven.”

Ryujin snorted at the pun.  “Pfft okay, but if you just want to play, go ask someone else.”

“But I like it so matcha better with you.”

Ryujin laughed loudly this time. “Enough with the puns, we’ll do it next time okay unnie?”

Lia sighed in defeat. She opened the box and munched on the matcha flavoured stick by herself.

Ryujin paused as she watched Lia sulking while eating like a squirrel.

She couldn’t take it anymore.

When Lia finished her first stick, Ryujin directly stuffed the rest of her mochi into the older’s mouth, she sat in front and cupped Lia’s cheeks.

“Jisu…I know.” With the dessert on her mouth Lia couldn’t speak.

“I like you too.” The younger moved their faces closer, biting the tiny mochi in Lia’s mouth.

Lia’s eye’s widened in shock. With Ryujin’s lips barely an inch away from her.

“If you wanted to kiss me…all you had to do was ask.” Ryujin whispered and pressed her lips against the older pushing the rest of the rice cake in Lia’s mouth.

Ryujin casually wipes the pieces of red bean around Lia’s lips.

“You knew?”

“I had a hunch, it’s not a game a person could just randomly play with anyone after all.” Ryujin smirked.

Lia no longer hesitated and dived in to kiss those tempting lips in front of her. Ryujin was surprised at first but soon got lost in the moment.

Nipping at Lia’s bottom lip Ryujin didn’t waste any time before she slips her tongue into Lia’s mouth. The sweet taste of red bean with a hint of matcha filled Ryujin’s mouth.

Pulling back from the kiss, Ryujin looks at Lia straight in the eye, with the most serious expression.

“Jisu..will you be the Matcha to my Red Bean?”
