I know it's been long. But here's the chapter.

I have put a lot of effort in this one, hoping you guys will like it enough to interact more.

And I miss Ziam too much. If you do too, I hope this made you feel better.

They search.

They keep searching.

But nothing seems to be found in the huge ass library. Even Marcus seems to be getting frustrated over lack of results. Zayn changes the dressings of his wound, removes the stitches after few days, and keeps helping them in hopes of finding a solution to all of this shit. But nothing fruitful is found in their weeks long search.

They don't see any news report on the gunshots and violence in George's mansion, probably because he covered it up. He'd be dragged too if they discovered he kidnapped people. Marcus wants to take legal action for it, but Liam insists not to. He doesn't want to feed the rivalry now building up in between them. He just earned another enemy like Deaton himself, and he doesn't know how he ends up getting in trouble with assholes like this.

But somehow, he does. All the time.

After another long day in library with Marcus muttering obscenities under his breadth so Abbey doesn't hear it, they settle down for dinner. Apparently, Oliver doesn't like to be locked in a place with nothing to do. Even if it's pretty dangerous for him to roam outside, he insists he'll be fine and leaves with promise of finding them news on Deaton's whereabouts. And Coco accompanies him, much to Zayn's chagrin.

But truth is that, even Louis is not able to track down Deaton's activities now. Even if he doesn't admit it, he's quite worried, knowing he'd pose a threat anytime and they won't be ready. Marcus is trying his best, torn in between his office and the library, trying to catch Deaton and at the same time, helping Liam. But nothing's working and frustration seeps in the air eventually.

The dinner goes by silently, with nothing much to be said. Abbey is the only one making noise with his utensils, but other than that, it's silent.

"Maybe I should I just learn to live with it instead of trying to find a way out of it" Liam says suddenly. And he sounds like he's been thinking about this for a while.

"I don't think so" Marcus disagrees "You are out of control"

"Thank you" Liam mutters. "I'm aware"

"Darling, we'll find it" Marcus says softly "I know we have been searching for a while now, but we'll be successful"

"I hope so" Liam nods "Thank you, Marcus" He means it this time.

"Anytime, biscuit"

Zayn tries not to roll his eyes. Yes, he likes Marcus, he does. But this is, ughhh. He doesn't like anyone giving nicknames for Liam, even if it's someone who saved their asses. When Zayn concentrates back on his food, he finds Harry, Louis and Niall having knowing smirk on their faces. He scowls and ignores them, but kicks Louis under table when that idiot snickers smugly.

They retire to their rooms after that, with Louis already clinging to Harry even before they have the privacy of the room. Zayn shakes his head at that, if he gets his sleep ruined tonight because of them, he's so not having it.

It's not until they have changed into sweats (Liam is still a bit shy, even if he won't admit it) that Liam sighs as he settles down on the bed. He pats the space beside him and Zayn sits down, looking at him curiously.

"I miss it" Liam says softly and Zayn frowns now.

"Miss what?"

"Your home" Liam says and Zayn's face softens "The woods, the midnight strolls with you, cuddling sessions with Harry, and working with your mates. I miss it all. I wish we can go back soon"
