CHAPTER ONE

SAY YES!

"Fun night with Childe?" Komi asked, shutting her locker. "You saw us?" Luma's eyes widened as they pushed themselves off the lockers beside theirs and stared at her. Komi laughed slightly as the two began walking to class. "Yes...Is it serious?" "God no. You really think I'd date that?" Luma scoffed, taking their first step on the flight of stairs.

Komi laughed slightly, knowing Luma's endless slander for gingers in general. "Are you thinking about...dating in general?" She tilted her head towards the obsidian-haired person. Luma clutched their books tighter and stared at the ground. "Maybe. Have you?" They turned their head towards her. "Nope!" "Then why ask me about it?!" Luma shouted slightly in protest.

"Because, it's been what...two and a half months since you started hooking up with the guy?" "Since the beginning of school. Yes," Luma replied with a singular nod. "Plus how can I forget your first kiss with-" "Okay okay, Ko. I get it! Maybe I have had my fair share of intimate events recently." Luma's cheeks flushed as they looked down, thinking about their first kiss.

"Oh my god! Luma, come here!" Komi exclaimed, staring into the library they just passed. "What?" They groaned, staring through the small window into the library. "Is that Kae and-" "Albedo," Komi finished their sentence. Luma watched in awe as Albedo tucked a strand of hair behind Kaede's ear. Kaede had her signature sweet smile as she gazed into his eyes.

Luma's fist clenched. Albedo fell into Luma's "Douche" category. Even being the smartest, most mature and composed, he was just as bad at the other Heartthrobs. And now he was pursuing Kaede? Who's barely batted an eye at love?

"That bastard..." "Whoa, Lumi, seriously? I know you kinda hate them but..." "But what? I'm not just gonna let him play Kae! If she does fall for him and he breaks her heart..." Komi had to physically hold Luma back from tearing the door open and going over to threaten the shit out of Albedo.

Komi struggled to keep Luma within her grip; they're just so strong. "Lumi, stop! Stop!" She strained out. Eventually, Luma gave up and Komi's grip loosened. "Kae doesn't even give a shit about love. Why is she-" Luma turned their head back to the window, staring at the two conversing. Komi placed her hands on their shoulders seeing Luma growing agitated again.

"Calm down, Lumi. We'll talk to her about it later. Right now, we gotta get to class," she told them, causing them to nod. "Let's go." With that, the two continued their way to class.

"Hi Kaede," Albedo came up and greeted her. Kaede looked up from her laptop in which she was using to study. "Oh, hi Albedo. What's up?" Kaede knew Albedo from her best friend, Sucrose, who was friends with Albedo. "Can we talk? Privately?" He asked with his eyes narrowing on a few other students studying nearby. "Sure, sure. Of course." Kaede nodded, pushing her chair back and standing up.
