One Night and Forever

Movie Night

*Two Weeks Later*

*You came home early from work as it was a quiet night and Robin had told you to go home. You see Eddie sitting on the couch looking bored out of his brain. He was playing with his rings spinning them around his fingers. He eyes staring blankly in the distance*

"Hey uh, did you want to watch a movie tonight? I can go back and rent one for us?" You wanted to spend some time with him. Even though he basically lives here now you don't exactly have a lot of contact with him he kind of does his own thing and you do your own thing. You didn't want him to think that you don't want anything to do with him because you want to make sure he's happy and comfortable here.

*He slightly jumps at the sound of your voice. He wasn't expecting you to talk to him. He turns around to face you and gives you a soft smile*

"Sure, you pick i'm not too bothered with what we watch" He didn't care what you two watched as long as it was together. And he also didn't want to seem demanding. You were giving up and risking a lot by having him stay here so he didn't want to start asking for things

"Okay, i'll be right back" You smile at him and grab your bag and keys and head back into work. Robin was confused as to why you were back here but you said you felt like watching a movie tonight so here you were. You picked an older movie and headed back home.

*While you were getting the movie Eddie took this chance to make a cozy set up for the two of you. He set up the pillows and blankets purposefully so that you two would be sitting next to each other. He wanted to see how you would react. He knows you're very reserved but he hopes he can chip away and you'll let him in slightly. He wants to feel what he felt that first night you met. The spark, the comfort, the warmth. He also gets some popcorn ready. You can't watch a movie without popcorn.

*You finally come home to find the lights dimmed and the house smelling amazing. The smell of buttery popcorn in the air. You put your bag and keys away and bring the movie out to the living room. You're stunned to see a beautiful cozy set up on the couch. Your heart does a little leap and you feel your cheeks heat up. Eddie did this. For the two of you. He's really getting to you in the best way. But you still don't know what's going to happen when he gets his name cleared

"What did you do?!" You look at him and you know that your eyes are sparkling like stars in the night sky. You couldn't hide the fact that you were amazed at what he's done

"I set us up for the movie of course!" He gestures to the living room and looking super proud of himself. And so he should

"Eddie! This is amazing. I usually just turn on the movie. This is beyond what i thought. This is way better than what i do" You expressed so much gratitude towards him because he didn't have to do this. You didn't ask him to do this. But he did it because he wanted to. Your heart is racing and you think that maybe tonight it's okay to let your guard down. A little bit

"Well you've been hiding me for weeks now! I had to do something to show how much i appreciate what you're doing for me. Even if you have been a little mean" He added that last part because he knew you'd say something

"That is true! Get comfy Munson this movie is a classic. And i'm sorry! I'm not really used to coming home to someone. It's weird i have to admit but it's nice" You didn't realise how mean you were being to him. Maybe you could tone it down a little bit. It was how you protected yourself though. If you were mean you couldn't form an attachment
