Do I Make You Nervous?

You feel yourself stir awake. You hear Eddie snoring softly behind you. You turn your body around so that you're facing him. All these thoughts slip into your mind as you stare at him. You couldn't help it. He looked so at peace when he was sleeping and yet so alert, nervous, and skittish when he was awake. You couldn't blame him. Hopefully, that will change soon

Your Thoughts: How can anyone think this guy is a murderer? or even capable of that?

Your Thoughts: He looks so peaceful when he's sleeping. I shouldn't get used to this. He has a whole other life

Your Thoughts: I don't know what to do. I have all these feelings for Eddie...... And it's clear that he has feelings too. But what if I'm wrong? What if he's just doing this because I'm letting him stay here? I don't want to get hurt. But I also don't want to hurt him

Eddie starts to wake up. He squints his eyes to adjust and he notices you watching him. You feel slightly embarrassed but you don't look away. You just stare at each other for a few moments. Eddie liked the fact you stayed until he woke up and you liked that he was still at peace.

"Morning," you say softly. You hadn't spoken yet this morning and you still felt groggy and out of sorts. And you also didn't want to startle poor Eddie who literally just woke up a few moments ago.

"Morning" he responds just as sleepy and softly as you. However, his gaze doesn't leave yours. He loves the sight of you resting your head on a pillow next to his. He knows you care. He learned from your date with Billy that maybe just maybe he might be the guy you are interested in. And he doesn't mind one bit waiting for you. He waited a whole year to finally see you again and waiting a little longer won't kill him. You're worth it

Eddie's thoughts: Wow. they actually stayed. last night was so chaotic I wouldn't have blamed them if they moved away once I fell asleep. But they stayed. They stayed because I asked them to. They knew I needed them.

"Thanks for last night" His gratitude was evident in his voice. And his eyes. His eyes were so genuine and so soft. You almost felt like you could lost in them.

"Well you haven't had a nightmare like that in a while I just wanted to make sure you were okay" you advert your gaze at last. You couldn't keep looking at him like that. If you did. Your feelings might get set into stone. And you don't think you could handle falling for him then have him leave. Back to his life. A life that doesn't involve you.

"I was once I saw you were okay" he says very softly. He feels extremely vulnerable talking to you about his nightmare. Where he watched you die and he was too late to save you. He's never had a dream like that before and he doesn't want to have one like that again. He's never cared about someone like this before and it scares him. It hasn't been that long since you reconnected and he doesn't want to lose that. You didn't seem unbothered or unrecieving of his advances so he wants to keep going to see if anything comes of it. He wants something to come of it. He wants to see the you he saw on the first night you met. So carefree, loving, open, trusting and the softness in your eyes. He saw a glimpse of all that last night. He wants to see it everyday.

"Jeez Munson look at you pulling all the moves. *laughs* You're lucky you're cute or I wouldn't let you get away with that" you think it couldn't harm anyone if you let yourself open up a little bit. Last night was the first night you showed him a side of softness and care towards him. It felt really nice. It felt like the first night you spent together. A part of you wants to feel that everyday. The care and gentleness of him. His scent alone brings you so much comfort. But you are terrified of him leaving and he will leave. He doesn't belong here and you know it. He belongs on stage, shredding that guitar like a rockstar.
