Authors note: I won't lie I had a pretty shitty month compared to October and have barely been all there when I wrote this which is both why it's taken me so long and why I don't like it as much as I should. On that note, I've left you all waiting long enough so here it is.

Regulus' eyes widened and he snapped the curtain back shut, "I am showering!"

"I don't care. We need to talk and we need to talk now." Sirius whispered, his voice still nerve-wrackingly calm for who he was speaking to.

The warm water washed over his skin but he couldn't help the chill that ran down him. Slowly, he turned the water off, summoning a towel to himself before stepping out of the shower, "Okay... who died?"

"No one. Yet." Sirius muttered.

"Then what is it?"

"I just want to know who the hell you think you are."

"I'm sorry," Regulus shook his head, crossing his arms impatiently, "You interrupted my shower to... what exactly? Did you obliviate yourself... again?"

"You know what, I should actually be asking you what the actual fuck is wrong with you, shouldn't I?"

Regulus' eyebrows furrowed, "Is this a jab at the fact I kissed Crouch last night? Honestly, Sirius, it's French. Get over yourself."

"Yeah pretty sure the whole room saw it was French." Sirius grumbled, "He's not yours."

Regulus looked away sure he was misunderstanding, "What?"

"You can't... you can't ruin him. He's not yours to ruin." Sirius whispered, desperate for Regulus to realise what a grave mistake he was making.

Regulus tensed up, swallowing thickly, "And whose is he exactly? Yours?" He bit back, jaw clenching.

"No. Evans'. And you know it. You wouldn't- it doesn't work that way!" Sirius snapped, his calmness quickly leaving.

"In what way? The way that it's queer? Because I've got some fucking fantastic news for you." Regulus scoffed.

"That's not what I meant. I couldn't give two shits if you decided to act out against our parents-"

"My parents." Regulus corrected, "You already have a foot out the door last I recall."

"Fine. If you decide to act out against your parents by fucking some dudes that's on you. So's the syphilis, but I'm sure you can handle that one."

"That's not what this is; I'm not you. Not everything is about defying them." Regulus rolled his eyes.

"Right and that's why you're shagging James Potter of all people? You want to piss them off! You want to piss me off!"

"You have no idea what you're on about, Sirius. Stop." Regulus whispered.

"He wants Evans."

"She doesn't want him it doesn't matter."

"But he wants her!"

"He chose me!" Regulus yelled. He'd been trying so desperately to leave his side of the conversation up to interpretation. To leave it so he'd be able to claim Sirius just assumed they were talking about James. Yet he'd gone and fucked it all up, "I've given him every chance to leave. He didn't take me up on the offer."

"Then make him leave."

He shook his head, sitting down on the edge of the tub, "I won't do that, Sirius."
