Authors Note: SPEAK NOW TV MEANS EARLY UPDATE

Okay I don't know how to do this warning without spoiling anything. There's heavy stuff. Nothing happens it's all hypothetical or just briefly mentioned but if you cant handle that then you may want to skip this chapter. I suggest reading Narcissa's bit but stopping there.

❄︎Day 2❄︎

𐀔 Narcissa Black 𐀔

Bellatrix was doing much better. Neither girl had heard anything of their now estranged sister.

If she was telling the truth, Narcissa had barely been present since she'd accepted Lucius' proposal. Of course, physically, she was there, but mentally?

In school, Narcissa did a lot of what she was doing now: pining. She would sit and watch the girls from across whatever classroom they were in as they giggled and gossiped like little girls which, to be fair, they were. Narcissa had just never been given the chance to be one with them. She would eat her breakfast or lunch or dinner and watch; she would sit in the stands wearing green and silver and pretending not to care about quidditch, but, really, she would've given anything to be flying with her peers.

In school, she'd pined for a somewhat more normal life. While she had never wanted to give up her status in their community unlike her sisters, she'd wanted to be able to misbehave somewhat. To talk with her peers about the cute boy, or... in her case, girl on the opposing quidditch team.

Then again, at least then she could breathe.

Now, barely a young woman, her life has been written and placed before her, nothing to be done to change it.

"I like Lucius. It's Abraxas I can't stand." Druella snarled over breakfast as she and her husband were finishing up the "delicacies".

"Yes, well, Lucius will make a fine match for Narcissa." Cygnus nodded.

"Agreed. Everything should be back to normal once they're married. Then we can forget..." Druella carried off.

"That Andromeda has married a muggle-born?" Narcissa offered, staring off into the distance. She could see the chessboard out the open door where Andromeda had taught her how to play oh so many years ago. Or the staircase where she fell after a terrible idea they had had.

She looked over at her sister, sitting silently at the head of the table. While her acceptance of the proposal had nursed Bellatrix back to health some illnesses weren't reversible. They'd called a healer in to see what was taking Bellatrix so long to get back to normal.

There was a reason the cruciatus curse was an unforgivable. Getting hexed so many times causes irreparable damage not only to one's body but their psyche.

So when the Unbreakable vow was broken...

The Bellatrix sitting by her would never be the same girl she'd known. No, if more were to happen Narcissa was sure she'd go mental.

She turned back to her mother, voice soft, "Mother?" Spoke Narcissa, "I was hoping I could go in search of my wedding gown today." It was a question, even if it wasn't said as one. That was the thing about purebloods. They knew exactly what to say and how to say it and even when.

"I'll call a seamstress to come," Druella responded not even giving her daughter the pleasure of her full attention.

"I'd like to go to an actual shoppe. A- a muggle one perhaps."

Her mother's fork stabs into the mahogany table, eyes blazing at her daughter, "You will do no such thing, young lady!" She hissed.

Cygnus places a hand on his wife's, "Now now, Druella, if the girl wants to see some muggle gowns allow her."
