We're starting the new year with smut. Like a lot of it. Kinky too. Happy New Year Babes

"No. No- no Snape- Sn- Severus please." Sirius begged, tears pricking at his eyes as the other two Slytherins grabbed his arms to keep him in place, "You can't go. You can't. You can't you can't you can't. You have no idea what you'd be doing."

Evan sighed, "Okay you go find Reg and James. I'll get Sirius." He whispered glancing around the corner to watch what was happening.

"Please don't die before we have a chance to talk," Barty whispered, hurrying away.

Snape ignored Sirius, "I'll let Lupin know you say hi." He smirked, walking away.

Barty walked through the courtyard in search of Regulus and James, frowning when he found James alone.

He hurried over to him, "Where's Reg?"

"He's on his way back to your dorm. Look, can we talk later? I'm running late." He explained, walking away.

"Snape's on his way to the shrieking shack," Barty called and James froze in his tracks.

Slowly, he turned back to the Slytherin, "The what?" He asked as if he hadn't spent the past two years sneaking off there every month.

"I don't care what it is you guys are doing up there but... he's searching for Lupin. I think he thinks you're amid some prank." Barty explained, glancing up at the sky, "If it's... dangerous... the sky will be red soon. I may not like Snape, but Lupin's been kind when others haven't. To all of us. They don't deserve to have their lives ruined."

"Get Dumbeldore and Pomfrey. Now." James whispered, breaking into a sprint towards the tree.

Barty closed his eyes, 'This is so going to hell.' He thought to himself as he went in search of the headmaster.

James was running to the Whomping Willow like his life depended on it and, in some ways, it did.

"Snape!" He called as he neared the tree though it only seemed to spur the Slytherin on, following Sirius' instructions and hitting the knot on the bottom with a spell and hurrying down the hole.

James groaned jumping down after him, landing on the hard floor with a grunt, ignoring his now stinging knees as he made his way through the tunnel. A scream erupted from the end and his eyes widened as he came face to face with Remus in his werewolf form, towering a good two feet over them.

Had he always been so tall? Maybe his animagus form made him taller than he realised because Remus had never looked quite as horrifying.

Snape lifted his wand and, though he'd never admit it, James wondered for a moment if letting him cast the curse would be their best shot at making it out.

"Sectum-"

James was between the wand and the werewolf before the spell could even leave Snape's mouth, "Stop stop it's Remus!" He screamed, desperate to stop them both yet knowing he could only reason with one.

Honestly, he'd probably have a better chance with the werewolf.

More voices could be heard through the tunnel and James was shaking his head. Who else knew? Who else was he going to have to stop? And where the hell was Sirius?

He felt light-headed, barely processing the movement around him as professor after professor ran in. He watched in horror as the wolf was hit with silver chains, a spell he'd never heard before leaving the Headmaster's mouth as the wolf- as Remus was attached to the ground, howling in pain.
