Authors Note: Okay let's try not to make this confusing.
They are on break. I am trying a writing style I've never really done in my life so we're all learning here. I plan to go over the first twelve days of break in this chapter and as everyone is in different areas and won't interact I will be focusing on the crucial plot points from each "perspective". If two characters interact, I will try not to have the same scene from another character's pov later on unless absolutely necessary.
My plan was not to go over 2k per POV but just James on day one is almost 2k and I still have a smut scene to write 😭
On another note, if you don't know Florence Pugh's frown, look it up, because that's exactly what I imagine whenever Regulus frowns and it's kind of hilarious because he has no idea why people always know when he's upset.

❄︎Day 1❄︎
𑁍Lily Evans𑁍
Lily had never been one to fit in.
At Hogwarts, she was always the weird muggle-born who somehow knew more than even some of the oldest pureblood families.
Home wasn't any better. Her family didn't understand her life away, they couldn't.
Her sister had always thought her weird and unnatural and while her parents were fascinated with her "gift" they were afraid of what she may be capable of.
It was why Severus had always been so important to her. He was her only real connection between the two worlds. And now that connection was gone. She was heading home and her parents would ask about Severus and she wouldn't be able to explain because they just wouldn't understand.
Honestly, the feeling she didn't belong in either world was the biggest reason why she never took James up on his offer to go out. That and the lesbian thing.
The train came to a stop and she turned to Mary, smiling softly, "You ready?"
"Of course I am. I can not wait to meet the people who raised Lily Evans."
Lily knew it was meant as a compliment but knowing who her parents were made it all the more complicated. She grabbed her bag, "Let's go."
𑁍
"Mum!" Lily called landing just outside their fireplace.
Mrs. Evans walked out of the kitchen and over to her daughter, "Ooh I will never get used to that thing you do." She breathed, pulling her into a hug.
"Floo," Lily answered as they broke apart.
Her face fell and she placed a hand on Lily's forehead, "The flu? You're sick?"
"N- no. What we did. It's called- Mum this is my friend. Mary."
Mary smiled reaching out to shake her hand, "It's wonderful to finally meet you, Mrs. Evans."
"Oh, Rose, please." She shook her hand, "Not even my patients call me Mrs Evans."
"Patients?" Mary asked.
Lily nodded, "Mum's a hospice nurse."
"Who is also named after a flower? What's your father's name? Admon?" Mary chuckled.
"Reid."
Rose shook her head, "Why don't you girls head on up to unpack and wash up? Petunia will be home in a few minutes and you want to make a good impression on her future husband."
